Game one was Saturday. Triple header today. Generals beat the Patterson (shared snap) led Panthers 17-12.

Breakers vs Stars next on USA. Michael Robinson is the color commentary guy.

Visuals are very clean. Plenty of mentions about this being the road to the NFL for some players rather than any alternative or competition type scheme.

Not sure what Saturday night turn out was, but the early game looked like something from the covid season. Tix are $10 for adults, children free. Yikes there.

It's spring football. I'm happy.

Shareff Miller sighting. Called for roughing the passer. QB safety seems to be big (noticed in prior game).

Over/Under on how long it lasts, in days? Seven? 14?
It's owned by Fox Sports, so they likely finish this season purely for content. Every game being in Birmingham cuts costs, but does nothing for fans at the locations they desire to play from.

The Philly-Nawlins game looks like a pitt game. Empty stadium.

Crowd last night was great…but the home team was playing, and it wasn’t Easter Sunday.

I’m all in on it from a gambling perspective…these spring leagues have had very soft lines (plus, we’ve got a good fantasy league going with my friends).

I follow football way closer than anyone should ever admit, and I could have never named the defender on that play…kudos to you.

That was one of my favorite plays in PSU history, and I was about 15 feet away from it.

I watched a little, and the crowd yesterday was not good. At all. Even for a pee wee game.

That said, it's Easter Sunday in Alabama and frankly....no one should expect a decent crowd. Also heard the weather was bad.

It rained heavy that morning. I think it delayed the first game by at least an hour, as the later games all were played an hour later than the advertised start time.

Didn't tune in to the late game, but I don't imagine it drew a better crowd. Second weekend the games are split over 3 days, but it's going to be a task to get people to come out for the 3 games not involving the home city team. In an upstart league.

Perhaps the broadcasts helps. Presentation was top notch. I think working out of 2 cities each weekend would be better for attendance while keeping costs down, but this is the way.

I think their idea of having the games in one city is actually pretty smart, for the reason you mentioned re: costs.

However, not sure why B'ham was selected other than it has been a football hotbed. Orlando has two decent size stadiums, and the enticement of Disney and other family oriented amusement would seem like a good way to attract fans of whatever cities are represent. Or perhaps they were concerned they would lose fans to those other attractions.
