Poor shooting from the 3 area killed them. Had some excellent looks just couldn’t hit them. Refs called two BS fouls in a row to give the ball back to UT and they hit 3s on both second chances. That hurt but how in the world do you leave Kneicth or whatever that wide open?
UT has figured out how to guard us. Both defenses playing well but we can’t pass the ball with their man on man pressure. Move the damn ball. But no mistake, this is a grown man game. Boys better go home. Man up guys!
Defensively playing hard. Other than passing the ball more then pull , get fouled or make the jump shot is the move. If Mack can’t get off a shot he needs to come out and let Gray play. Too many tip out offensive rebounds for UT. Mack is no help if he can’t hit jump shots

Game looks pretty well called to me. We can’t get fouls called until we beat our man. Take Mack out! He’s not doing anything for us. At least Gray can protect the rim.
Knecht not even hiding it now. He’s just knocking the **** out of Stute pushing him to get open. Refs see it but won’t call it.
We are also playing pretty rough. I think the refs have been pretty solid to this point. We are simply getting outplayed. Still time to turn it around.
Oh well. Been here before. Can’t be disappointed in this team though.
I think teams are on to Mack. Don't leave your feet against him and he'll struggle. If you leave your feet, he'll make you pay. He is undersized for the SEC but plays with heart.
We may lose but stay in it. You are always one of the first to tap out when we are down.
Agreed. Cooper did not get fouled. Our guards panicked down the stretch. Hopefully a learning experience.
Drought at the end of the 1st Half lost this game. We were playing uphill the entire second half.
What a game. Hard to be too upset. Guys played their asses off. Just came out too cold.
Just shows you how fragile success is for all the top teams this year. They all can beat anyone, but they all can lose to anyone. Tennessee, which is basically a one man team with a good coach, may be a 1 seed in the dance.
What a fight our guys put up . UT is probably going to win the conference tournament and be a 1 seed in the dance. At worse they will be a 2 seed. And I’ll say this, I bet they don’t want to see us again. We split with one of the best teams in the country and we don’t match up well with their talent. What I gathered from this game? We can make the sweet 16, maybe better but not likely. But still, what a season this team has had. We gave them hell all night long even though they are better at every position except maybe Meechie. Our guys played their butts off holding the Vols to a low score. This team has fight, and the Dance is all that matters. I think we’ll win a few games in the tournament and maybe a few more

Disagree. We were right there with our C- game. We kept jacking 3s and it was not our night out there. We didn’t make a concerted effort to take the ball to the rim until we were down double digits. We uncharacteristically didn’t get back on defense and Tennessee got some cheap runouts early in the game. Tennessee is a one-man team. Clean up transition defense and I am confident we can take this team in the tournament with even an average shooting night.

No they aren’t…… We had a bad shooting night. I want you to also go back and watch a whole bunch of those no called fouls. Knecht was knocking the hell out of people to get open. Forearm shivers with no call. We did not shoot one foul shot in the first half in a game that physical. They called Josh Gray for kicking the ball when the Tennessee player tried to make a pass and it hit Gray‘s ankle. Both his feet were planted firmly on the floor. Go back and watch toward the end when they called the ball off Meechie….clearly off UT. How many three point shooters have you seen all year and every year get that foul called that Cooper didn’t get. Had that been reversed, they would’ve called us for a foul in a heartbeat if it was Knecht shooting in the same situation.
Tough game….but have no problem playing them again.
So every other team would have risen 3-4 spots in the NET after tonight’s loss, but for us we will most likely drop into the 100’s right?
