After such a great start by Cijntje, his ERA went up today. smh
You can thank the coaches for that. Kept him in entirely too long, and he’d been getting tattooed the inning before.
This staff is gonna force some tough offseason decisions if they keep this up. The program has made some huge leaps, and we have blown a dozen or more games due to avoidable things like bad base running and keeping pitchers in 3 batters too long.

I mean, those ground balls were mostly weak hits. The first was a bullet down third base line but all of them are outs of they’re two foot to the right. Then one right to second with the shift on. Nothing you can do. They just found the holes with 4 straight ground balls.
Maybe play in the normal position?
This team gives it up like a drunk fvkcing prom date in the late innings.
There's no such thing as not using the shift. Outside of pitcher and catcher, you can position your defenders anywhere you'd like. What you call not using the shift is simply the original shift.

So we're averaging giving up 3 innings of outs per game from the start. That's not encouraging. That's a pretty good sign we need to change our approach to hitting or change personnel because we should be improving, not getting worse.
