<font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2">Mississippi State will announce later this afternoon that is will construct a $6 million HD video board at Scott Field, athletic director Greg Byrne told The Blog a few moments ago.</font></p>
<font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2">Specifics on things like size will come forward in the news release later today. Byrne said it "will be one of the largest HD boards in the country and <span style="font-weight: bold;">we anticipate it being in operation for part of this coming season</span>."</font></p>
<font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2">Byrne said it will be in the south end zone over the Leo Seal M-Club Building but won't be physically attached to the building. The current board on the north side will remain in use.</font></p><font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2">Rumors and plans about this board have floated around for weeks and months, with Byrne acknowledging more than once in the past that he was working on that. But only recently have the specifics about the board been finalized, he said.</font>
