Where to even begin. Legendary, Iconic, a man of class, who always carried himself with dignity.
Thank you Mr.Scully for becoming a part of the soundtrack of my life.

He did this thing that few people can do well and did it without parallel for almost as long as I've been alive. He was incredible.

I posted this in another thread, but This Week In Baseball theme music has been stuck in my head since seeing he had passed. It was a key part of my childhood as a baseball fan pre 24/7 sports coverage.

That music and voice along with Harry & Skip Carrey, Bob Fulton just meant sports. I don’t know exactly how to explain it, but when you heard “I can’t believe what I just saw” you knew it was a historical moment.

I miss those days. It was more fun or so it seems in hindsight.

I am finally able to listen to/watch tributes without crying.
MLB Network would use his call for games at Dodger Stadium instead of sending their own guys.

I was wondering ‘bout a certain dodger fan today……..thinking…. guess I’ll see her @ jawja game.

The biggest envy was never really hearing him on radio (3 game trip back in ‘76)…uknow, ….when he was our eyes, describing on the radio what we couldn’t see was his forte.

Growing up on transistor radios under our pillow?……….we’ve had our share of great ones in these here parts…...Harry & Jack, Waite & Joe, Harry Kalas, Gene Elston w/ Loel Passé and Bob Prince with Jim Woods. Oh, least I forget the great Bob Eason & Milo.
