This has probably been done. But who needs to go. Lemonis is obvious. Jans and Lebby get at least one more year so I am leaving them out.

Jana gets one more year? I think Jans is safe into three years even we fall off a cliff the next two.
Agreed. Just lumped them together for brevity. If football looks as bad as last year, I don't think we can let a football coach automatically get 3 years. Lebby has to show progress.

I just voted "neither" because I misread the damn poll. Actually I don't think either one of them could pour piss out of a boot when it comes to running an athletic department (or academics either).

Nobody is safe for 3 years. Or at least nobody should be. But Jan’s hot seat rating in a scale of 1-10 is a 1, maybe 2, right now.
That’s a little excessive with Jan’s. He’s having the best run in basketball in 20 years. Do I want to us do better in the SEC? Yes. Do I want to go further in the tournament? Yes. Do I want to let Jans go and risk another 15 years of purgatory? No.
Hot seat is a comfy 5-6.

I don’t understand the hate for Selmon. He didn’t hire any of these coaches.
You mean you don't understand the hate for the guy who hired a 2-10 football coach and has literally been nonexistent for his whole time here? The same guy that let the sound system at Davis wade stay when it's bogue chitto high school level bad. Man I wish I could be that bad at my job and not get fired

He hired a first time head coach without a good plan for that coach hiring some experience on the other side of the ball. Right after he fired a first time head coach that hired an inexperienced coordinator on the other side of the ball. He apparently didn’t even examine the arnett hire and consider why a promising coordinator would turn into such a bad head coach.

ETA: and he made a bad decision not firing lemonis. That was a very defensible decision, but they do still count against him even if not as much as the indefensible bad decision of hiring a first time head coach without a good plan for having some experience on staff

Given the general tone of this chat room($1), surprised there is no “All of the above” selection available

Keenum made yet ANOTHER stupid mistake in hiring Selmon and he'll either learn "on the job " and leave or he'll bail at the first opportunity he gets. At this point it's really not his fault he doesn't know WTF to do next.

I don’t know. After three straight tournaments, I think things would have to be pretty bleak to not get a third year at this point. Could certainly start off year three with his seat on fire and not make it through year three, but I think there would have to be something going on off the court for him to get fired before the third season. But I also think realistically he’s not going to have the type of seasons that would cause his seat to be hot in two years if there’s not something going on off the court with him or the program. So may just be semantics.

Mostly semantics. I’m not saying he should get fired for 2 NIT seasons. But a couple of 4-14 season should get anyone fired. Just like a couple of single digit SEC baseball wins should get anyone fired.
