Deon is tearing it up! The guy proved he can coach up and will pull in mega-star talent. Bringing a fellow NFL legend in some capacity will be a positive thing. I’m Sapp knows his way around the field.

Warren Sapp has a pretty shady history. How he’s trusted to be around and mold young men is beyond me.

He can’t be worse than Michael Vic, who tortured dogs and had them fight to the death for his entrainment. I recall Carolina bringing that piece off sh** in a few years ago to interact with players. What’s the deal with Warran Sapp?

Yeah I guess the issue is conviction over charges being dropped. But soliciting prostitution, assaulting those prostitutes in a money dispute, domestic assualt, and accusation of sexual harassment just seem like disqualifiers with being around young men at a university. But if the charges are dropped, what can you do? Of course this was due to a plea deal which required counseling. To your point, Vick was convicted and Sapp was not. But Vick was also visiting, not being hired by the university.

I was a doubter. He had essentially an entirely new roster. Somehow, he took a took that entirely new roster and, in a matter of months, has them playing with confidence and swagger. It's pretty crazy to think about. He was just grabbing guys left and right from the portal, and with the time crunch, they couldn't have been doing in-depth evaluations of every single player. But he threw together a roster, made it a team and has then playing good football. We're 3 years in and trying to figure who can be RB and looking at our QB to be a WR. I don't think we'd beat CU if we played them right now. And, their overall roster is no more talented than ours, probably less so. It just shows what's really possible with the right coach. You don't have to have the best players, just the right players.

The biggest thing to me is that he has them playing with confidence...even arrogance. They remind me a lot of Miami back in the 80's and 90's.

Now, it helps that his son just happens to be a blue-chip QB and he's the primary catalyst of their success. Without him, they might be 0-3.

They've had to score a lot of points to win these games - without his son at QB, I don't think that happens.

Yeah, probably 0-3 without Shedeur. But it's a perfect storm for him. The hype and buzz they are getting is likely enough for him to lure in another hot shot QB.

Sapp definitely has a certain reputation, and I think Deion is making this move intentionally for the kind of player he wants to recruit. Sapp is 50 and has never coached in any capacity at any level that I can see. So it's apparent Deion is playing it from a different angle. More than talent, he wants players who have a certain edge and attitude.

I won't argue that Sanders isn't tearing it up. Now, Sapp knowing his way around the field is a different matter. The last article I read on him, he was suffering CTE so badly that he couldn't remember why he walked out of his house and ended up in the driveway.(was going to the mailbox)

I'm not laughing about his CTE, just the irony of him knowing his way around the filed when he himself admitted to the scenario I mentioned above in an interview of the mentioned article.

This goes to my post above. I would wager he's adding Sapp, not for his coaching ability, but for his reputation on/off the field for the kind of player Deion wants to attract.

Bringing in someone to talk about their mistakes and how your decisions can hurt you is a little different than being a on field coach 😂

They were just in a dog fight with CSU. I believe we can beat them. We played two of the better teams in the country without our best wideout.

Did better than expected out of the gate and I give him credit for making it happen - now the real work begins!

Vick also paid his debt to society and has shown a lot of remorse over his actions. I don't think he should be ostracized now, 16 years after his crimes.

Most likely the next 2 weeks in a row.
Won’t be shocked to see them win tomorrow against Oregon. They’ll be ready. But not sure they can get through both of these.

We’ll learn a lot about Colorado tomorrow. That CU - CSU game is one of the strangest rivalries in football. It unpredictable.

Not that unpredictable CU leads the series 68-22-2.
As a fan of CSU football it has been horribly one sided with the exception of the Sonny Lubick tenure at CSU, and even then it was pretty much even.

Ummm, it drew more because people are interested to see how Deion does and his team plays with fire. Could it be the media is selling it because it’s what the people want?

So I guess we can’t forgive people for stupid mistakes and people don’t change?

Sure. But there are consequences. Not to mention, all of these things aren’t ONE failure at one time. He’s had 2nd and 3rd chances. Kept screwing up.

You are correct. I guess I was remembering those 10-11 years before 2015 where it seemed like CU was often favored yet lost about half the matchups. The older I get, the more the time meshes. No doubt CU has owned them the past few years and outside of those 10 back and forth years.

thats basically what I said...people watched because of Deion not the game itself....celebrity influence...in 2019 people tuned in for the game...1.25 million...this year they watched because of the celebrity on the sideline....9.3 million
