Can anyone at Penn State beat 33 sacks and 70 TFL for a career? Brown is #1 for me. In my PSU following days, the others for #2 are Hali, Maybin, Haynes, and Carter.

Brown hands down for those I’ve seen. Best defensive player I’ve seen at Penn State.

He was really good. A friend of the family took me to a game in the early 60's when I was 13. A play that still stands out to me today was the other team ran a sweep to his side; he crashed and went to his knees when the runner gave ground to go around him and he reached out with one hand, grabbed the guy by the chest and slammed him face first into the ground. He also played TE that day and caught a couple of passes. It took a gang to tackle him.
I know that. I was responding to a poster’s claim that Brown was the best defensive player ever.
