They broke in. Announcing that some player with the Trail Blazers has announced that he wants to be traded. Some 2 1/2 hrs later they are still talking about this.

No wonder their ratings are in the toilet. I for one don't give a damn about the NBA .

Totally agree that ESPN is a pile of crap outside of college football season. Having once been a massive NBA fan in my younger days, I also don't give a damn about the NBA anymore. The league has devolved into something that is unwatchable. Nowadays, NBA stands for "National Boring Association".

I went to a company meeting in Cleveland last December and we went to the Cavs game. Hadn't really watched an NBA game since Jordan retired. I was shocked at how boring it was. There's no contact and it's a 3 point contest.

Game definitely has changed as you mentioned. Reason I lost interest also.

Funny how someone puts up a post denigrating Blacks and it only gets erased when someone responds to it. So, that's what we are doing over here. My post had nothing offensive in it and was non-accusatory. Just quoted several facts about the NBA. This is why I simply lurk and wont pay the money to support the site even though I like the content. Everyone else gets to say what they want to say, but stuff starts getting censored when the Black guy responds.

Actually the NBA Playoff TV ratings were its highest in five years. However, the finals ratings were its lowest since 2007. This was probably due to not having a glamor team or glamor player in the Finals. Jimmy Butler is a great player and Jokic is the best player in the league. Yet, neither garner a whole lot of attention even amongst basketball fans. Most people don't recognize good basketball. They get stuck on names or how the game was played when they were growing up.

Haven't watched an NBA game since John Roche was playing. Usually don't watch the NFL anymore since the big time QBs I used to watch have gotten too old. Never watch pro baseball and usually don't watch college baseball unless USC is playing.
Have been turned off by college basketball but still like CFB and record all the SEC games on DTV but even with that I get bored and skip thru them to the end.
Those demonstrations by pro FB players were the last stunt. Politicizing a sport. It's really stupid to turn off your tv audience.

Sorry but I don’t see how this is a black thing, i watch a good deal of college basketball it just seems a more structured game where defense plays a factor in the outcome of the game, I just don’t see that when I watch an NBA game and it just doesn’t interest me, that has nothing to do with race! No doubt some of the best athletes play in NBA.

It's interesting that this is impression you get from this site.

Oh well, here's to hoping they keep deleting the race baiting, from either side.

My beef was not with you or anyone else that may not prefer basketball over other sports. I get it. I can't do it with Golf, Hockey, Soccer, or Baseball to name a few. In fact, my sports interests have dwindled as I age to only football or basketball and it must be in season. So, no USFL or XFL for me and no WNBA. You must have not seen the post that sat up there for hours talking about only "The Blacks" care about the NBA and how "The Blacks have an entitlement attitude" and can't afford to go to games. He ended it with the qualifier that always lets you know something is racist by saying "I am not being racist. I am just telling it how it is." That qualifier always tells you that even the speaker knows that he should not be saying this, but since it is true in his mind, he will say it anyway. The post was quite confusing actually because how does that league survive and pay the exorbitant salaries of the players if only the people that can't afford to go to games are interested in the sport. My beef was actually with the moderators for letting that mess stay on the board for so long and only did a scrub when I said something. I would have addressed directly with the moderators. However, I am new to moving over to the site and still getting acclimated to navigating the site. That post was removed along with a Jay-Z meme with black people leaving the room (which was a funny response) and my post. The issue is why were the moderators so fast to remove things when one got put up a Jay-Z meme and I responded when the initial post that started the negativity was allowed to stay up for hours.

Check my post giving the reason why I said what I said. Now, I disagree with you on your premise that the College game is more structured but I have no issue in you feeling that way. Also, the talent is lacking in the College game because the good players only stay there for a hot minute before they are off to the NBA. What does structure really mean without skill.

There was a very bad post that was deleted that you may have missed. That junk has no business being here. The mods here let us talk pretty freely. But kudos to them for zapping that one.

I will say the mods have a tough job. They’re not sitting there monitoring 24/7. I would say if you see something like that report it. If they leave it up for hours after that there is a problem.
