Their running game isn't much better than ours. They were supposed to have an all world offensive line but they weren't opening holes against Ball State. Surely the gamecock DL is better than Ball State. It was hard to tell much about their defense since they were playing Ball State. They looked susceptible to quick passes over the middle and Rattler might be able to pick them apart.

What is the chance of a 2019 repeat?

"Nothing sucks like the state of Tennessee except for maybe Georgia, Hell to Hell with Georgia "
Still have to give Kirby his due. He has truly awakened the sleeping giant in Athens. Bama always had the total commitment from the school and the fan base. The state of AL is about the same size as SC but they have always punched well above their weight in football because they make a priority of winning. The state of Georgia is twice the size of SC or AL and has always been loaded with football talent. UGA always had the resources and money but the UGA admin never really went all in on football until Kirby came and pushed them. Richt made Georgia "good" but they weren't elite. Kirby has taken them to a whole different level. This is Kirby's 8th season in Athens. He lost 4 SEC games in year 1 and has lost 5 more since then with 2 of those losses coming to Bama in the SECCG and the national championship game. The other 3 are; 1 to UF, 1 to USC and 1 to Auburn.

I don't think they have the team they had the last two years. They really miss Bennett. If USC can get on top early I think they can be beat.

UGA has played UT Martin and Ball State to start the season. That's a snack. They haven't had to show their hand yet. It's possible that could work in our favor a little. We'll see.

Either way, this is our National Championship Game. The line is 24.5. They've destroyed us in the last two games under Beamer and we're not expected to do much. Just have fun and see what happens.

If Rattler is having problems early with the pressure, bring in Sellers for a series and see what he can do. Sellers looks like the bigger threat to run and could help keep their defense a little more honest. Throws a beautiful ball too.

Georgia defense has had trouble with qbs who can run. Sellers could give them real problems.

I don’t want to beat the spread, I want a W. A straight up win.

Maybe keep them from behind the steering wheel also 🤭

I like the idea of Sellers playing situational QB some, adding a running threat and sneaking in a few passes. But make no mistake, we need Rattler to throw for 300 plus to have any chance to win. He can make throws Sellers can’t dream of yet. Will be interesting to see the game plan.

TO HELL, TO HELL, TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!!!

I think there’s a chance. That O isn’t explosive like it’s been the last 2 years. If the OL can just give Ratt 2.5-3 seconds it’s going to get really interesting.

Surely the gamecock DL is better than Ball State. It was hard to tell much about their defense since they were playing Ball State. They looked susceptible to quick passes over the middle and Rattler might be able to pick them apart.

What is the chance of a 2019 repeat?
Negligible but not nil.

If we get 3 interceptions and a fumble recovery like 2019, it could happen.

UGA has looked sleepy so far this year. They were only up 17-0 on UT Martin at the half and were scoreless against Ball State after 1 quarter. Carson Beck looks like an ok QB, nothing special.

It could all be a product of their competition and them just not feeling inspired. I suspect they'll turn it on for their first SEC contest, a home game no less.

Right now, I'd pick UT to beat them.

I said this before. No team look like a world beater to me. I think it can get ugly for us if they put their best game together against us, that tends to happen a lot when we play UGA. Teams that’s efficient throwing the ball, always give UGA problems and if we can get Juice back healthy with XL playing the way he’s playing I love our chances. I think -26 is a huge spread

UGA has looked kind of like they are sleepwalking so far. I suspect they'll put it together for their first SEC contest.

The spread is likely a result of everyone knowing we're one-dimensional.

If we can't make UGA at least think about us running the ball...and I see no reason why anyone should thing we could...this one will get out of hand early.

I love our chances. UGA and Mizz is the only two teams that’s our permanent opponents that Shane didn’t beat yet. When you have the better QB on your team it’s always a chance to win the game. UGA can’t go undefeated every year.

UGA is no longer a permanent opponent. We don't play them starting next year.
