Hearing "Newton" called out by the announcers every few minutes keeps me anxious for Friday to get here. Better yet, I'm ready for the second week of Feb to get here so we can get a LOT settled. By then, we'll know about Cam Newton, this Florida stuff will have settled down, we'll have a new DC and our basket full of recruits will be signed on.

Of course, with Urban on "Leave" that might keep us hanging from a thread for a while yet I don't believe they'll take CDM from us.

I think you've got a situation here where Newton goes to Auburn because of the surrounding cast there. They've got a pretty good set of skill players there, including what they're bringing in in this class. I'd say theres's a one in 20 chance he ends up somewhere other than Auburn.

Tell me why their program is better than ours right now.

than MSU and are currently going to a bowl game in their coach's first year, would you like to talk about their players?

McCalebb and Fannin >> than what you have returning at RB.

Their WR are equal to if not better than what you have returning, especially considering Fannin is as much a WR as RB. Darvin Adams had 10 TDs and was a sophomore.

On the OL they have two All-Conference players both returning and will be seniors (Ziemba, Coaches 2nd team, Pugh, AP 2nd team).

On top of that, he would at least have a LITTLE competition at MSU for the starting position...at AU, there really is no competition at all, now that Todd is gone.

And, yes.... I have as much of a shot at covering 3 bill as you do of covering the random $1K bets that your dumb *** throws around all the time. How your dumb **** is allowed to remain here is beyond me.

The same one that got their asses handed to them by Kentucky at home? Or how about getting blown out by LSU and Arkansas, getting beat by lowly Georgia.

In my lifetime, Auburn will never be more than a middle of the pack SEC team. Their current coaches don't have any history of developing QBs. Malzan....big 17in deal what he did at Tulsa. How bout doing it at somewhere...let's say Flordia where the competition is harder week in and week out. Malzan is all 17in hype and hasnt done jack ****. How many Heisman Trophy winners does he have under to watch? How about national or sec titles? NONE.

In fact, Auburn sports sucks in general.....they suck *** in basketball and they suck *** in baseball. Their current football program is mediocre to average at best.

They are losing alot of what got them there, namely Todd and Tate.

McCalebb and Fannin >> than what you have returning at RB.
You probably right here, for now anyways. Our guys are definitely unproven but have the potential, were highly rated, etc. But I didn't see much from those two down the stretch. They carried alot of the load early but it seemed they relied on Tate the most, much like we did Dixon.

Their WR are equal to if not better than what you have returning, especially considering Fannin is as much a WR as RB. Darvin Adams had 10 TDs and was a sophomore.
You said it, right on. I don't see much difference in the two. Berry and Bumphis are as good as those guys you mentioned.

On the OL they have two All-Conference players both returning and will be seniors (Ziemba, Coaches 2nd team, Pugh, AP 2nd team).
We've got an entire offensive line returning also. One that devastated your land sharks.

On top of that, he would at least have a LITTLE competition at MSU for the starting position...at AU, there really is no competition at all, now that Todd is gone.
This bodes better for MSU's position as a program, but certainly not part of the "supporting cast". Either way, this isn't an issue regarding the question at hand.
I applaud you for making a decent argument for once. However I see no reason why Auburn's team is in better shape than MSU's. We have every bit of the defensive talent they have, probably more in the line.

Auburn is much better than mediocre or average. They are used to winning 9+ games plus this decade besides the last 2 years.

2000 - 9
2001 - 7
2002 - 9
2003 - 8
2004 - 13
2005 - 9
2006 - 11
2007 - 9

I would not call that average or mediocre.

You really are a prick man.... I wish you and your idiotic self centered buddies would give some damn respect to the team that beat the **** out of your team of underachievers. You people from ole miss really need to be taken down a notch.
