I can't handle another season of this. Nobody, absolutely nobody can get a timely hit late in the game. Our relief seems to always be one or two pitches short. The balls we carried under Cohen and Cann and Gary were so much bigger than any of these guys carry. Mental toughness went away with Jake and Tanner. Put a fork in us

1-6 start. My god

Y'all remember when Cohen said Lemonis was "like Polk"? I do.

We're an above average team overall, but we're in the SEC where we're a below average team.

I would disagree. We’ve played 26 games and of those 26 games we have 2 quality wins. A majority of our wins are against schools I’ve never heard of named after Burroughs in New York.
I think we'll finish with a winning record. That's what I mean by above average

We always have one big cluster 17 of an inning and can't recover from it. Sometimes that's the first, but more often it's one of the middle, 4,5,6.

1-8 is going to be a very big hole to try and climb out of. What? With 21 games remaining, we would need to go 14-7 to claw back to even in conference play. That seems highly unlikely to happen. Just a very disappointing season unfolding. Damn! Hopefully, Pico can shut them down tonight.

Its been the norm for the last few seasons. Relief pitching is better under Parker but we just can't hold a lead late with the bullpen we have had

Last year, Parker did a masterful job to make pitching a strength, but it’s an absolute mess right now. When you continuously struggle to get 2-3 innings out of your weekend starters and you can't hold a 6-2 lead with your entire bullpen at your disposal, you’re in trouble.

This baseball team creates big innings for opponents. We could have overcome the homers in that big inning if we don't give up WALKS. The first run that scored was a result an error at 2B on a routine ground ball. Another run scored when we totally 17'd up the 1st & 3rd double steal. We are creative with finding ways to lose.

We heard all off season how the bullpen would be a strength of this team. Well.. Where is it? Offensively we've been decent enough to win a few more SEC games, but when the bullpen has pitched decent to okay the offense has struggled. It feels like the last 4 seasons(22, 23, 24 and now 25), we've constantly been saying if we can just put it all together at the same time we'll be alright. At a certain point, you have to look in the mirror and admit that the team assembled is just not good enough.

After witnessing the 2022-2024 seasons, is anyone surprised by last night? My biggest concern now is we win enough to get a 3 seed and Lemonhead gets another year.

I'm not sure that's going to be possible.

This team doesn't seem like a cohesive "team" at all. This one seems to me to be the most selfish, undisciplined, no talent, leaderless, team I ever remember at MSU. They lose another few games and I think the internal finger pointing starts and they implode and flounder the rest of the year.

The blame for this can be placed on several factors the main ones being Lemonis and his recruiting/judgment, NIL, and transfers. The NIL and transfers are a fact of life now but the coach...........................
