As it's winding down here now at midnight. Between 1.5 and 2.0 inches here in West Columbia. Nice big, fluffy snow. First measurable snow in the Cap city in over 1800 days.

Speaking off what's happening in the city....

Turn the sound on.

Well, well, we were perhaps neighbors many years ago. I lived in Lancaster right out of college for a short time. I was near downtown. What I remember the most was the Catawba Fish Camp. Went to a Gamecock Club meeting there. Never saw so many people eat so much fried seafood in one sitting.

I moved here when I was about 20. Married a girl from out in the country toward Heath Springs. I worked at Lance, U.S. Plywood, and for more than 37 years, the once-great company formerly known as Bowater. Happily retired now living in Country Club Heights.

I had a short stent there for about a year in my first post college job in the late seventies where I did a little media work. The company is gone now, but I enjoyed having access to Charlotte but living in the country. That wide open country between Lancaster and Charlotte has changed so much in the subsequent years.

Unrecognizable and increasingly unlivable. Indian Land's incorporation vote failed. They really need some local government up there, I believe.
