why the band won't play The Hey Song until the end of the game- we all thought it was bad luck to play it before the game was in hand. I know, that's silly, but the last time we played The Hey Song before the game was decided was the 97 Egg Bowl before Ole Miss went on their game winning drive.

But if you think about it, it would be pretty stupid to tell LSU- Hey! We're gonna beat the Hell outta you!- when we're down 56-0.

But that's the reason, and you can take it up with Mrs. Lance from here.

not sure what youre talking about cuz we still play it at the end of every win...they were saying they wanted to play it before the game like we do in basketball, no ones saying play it when were down by 50

the FMB doesn't play it anymore after a win, just that they won't until the game is in hand.

But, if they want to play it before the game, it probably would be best to incorporate it into the band pregame show. The band starts going down to the field about 25 minutes before kickoff, and playing it about 30 minutes before kickoff would be retarded, because only a few people are in the stands.

Here's an idea. Lets invent a time machine that takes us directly back to the student section before Anthony Johnson runs for a wild 104 yard INT TD. if i could experience that feeling over and over every time i woke up I wouldn't need to be worried about how ****** my day might be. Because i woke up fresh.

like the hit on the Luke kid back in 93, or the Glanton hit on crack salesman Johns from a couple of years ago, or any hit by Asley Cooper in 98. Nothing fires up a crowd like somebody on the other team getting their bell rung.

the mispelling of your and you're down already

and while your at it learn how to capitalize when you type.
i find it amazing every single time that someone throws out some sweet spelling/grammar smack concerning "your and idiot" or "your a dubmass"

Attended a Texas game last year when they had a stealth bomber flyover. You could actually feel something about to happen before you heard it and then finally saw it. It was the most thrilling pregame moment I have ever experienced and made me damn proud to be an American.

I believe the main reason for the lack of fans in the stands for pre game is mainly because there is lots of cold beer right outside the stadium, but it also has to do with the complete pile of crap that our pre game show is. Go to any other school the band comes out in their uniforms need I remind you and plays songs that the fans can cheer to ours plays the theme song to zelda or some load of crap.

How much would we have to pay Will Ferrell to record some kind of "hello mississippi state gimmie more cowbell" thing? That would go off like a rocket. I can't see him refusing for a paltry sum. Come on...

he's doing old spice commercials. i'm sure y'all can afford him.
