that we had a pretty good year in football. We also need to remember that we haven't been hit THAT hard by the portal at least for now. I have been, and probably will continue to be, a big Leach critic, but credit where it's due, this has been a good season. He did a pretty good job.

Yep, finishing off the season with a successful invasion of tsun capping off back to back .500 SEC Seasons is a good reason to be satisfied in year 3 of Leach. How long has it been since we've had back to back .500 SEC Seasons? How often have we done that?

Last two times it happened was 2017-18 (under two different coaches) and 2014-2015. Before that, we were .500 or better for 4 straight seasons from 1997-2000.

We’ve basically had two big 4-5 year stretches in our modern history (1997-2000 and 2014-2018), with not a lot else to write home about. Both stretches started in Year 6 or Year 7 of our two previous proven coaches. Hopefully these past 2 years are the beginning if another good stretch.

Leach can coach ball, no doubt about it. We’ve all got our gripes with one thing or another. We also had plenty to say about Lemonis during the natty run. I’m not comparing the two coaches or their success but the bottom line is Leach is doing much better than some have thought he would while not severely under serving those who were the most hopeful about his chances here. He’s solid and he’s earning his place in this university and this conference.
