I’m double vaccinated, but the last vaccine was sometime in 2021. I had been kicking around when to get another booster, but it’s too late. It’s mostly aches and pains like a regular flue, but also have a splitting headache.

Yeah, for me it was pretty much a terrible head cold. Feel better.

Sorry to hear you got COVID. I think loads of people eventually ended up getting COVID in 2022. Thankfully it seems most of those who did get it in 2022, and who were vaccinated to sone degree didn't end up with severe symptoms. That or it's migrated to be less severe, don't know which. I hope you recover quickly and don't have any long term I'll effects.

Hang in there I have had it twice and recovered both times , you will make it as long as no pre existing conditions are prevalent .

I wish you a quick recovery as most people seem to be experiencing. I’ve had the newest Covid booster and my flu shot on top of the two regular Pfizer boosters and something called Evusheld made by Astra Zeneca which is an immune system booster to ward off Covid-19 which is in a clinical trial for those with a suppressed immune system which I have. It’s a combination of two shots you get every 6 months in your thighs - a separate drug in each thigh. And once a month they do a blood test to monitor your level of immunity- IGG protein, and a survey with a clinical trial representative to monitor any side effects of which I have none. I’ve shown a good response after just the first shots so far, and have never contracted Covid-19. I’m fortunate to have team of a great oncologists who are on top of everything. I’m now approaching 20 years of living with multiple myeloma and aside from dealing with side effects from the immunotherapy I am doing very well. Next month I’ll turn 75. I’m going to shoot for another 20 years. For those with a compromised immune system, I’d suggest speaking to your physician about Evusheld which has been approved for emergency use.

Why did you get tested?
Speaking for myself, it was the unusual combination of symptoms that made me think that something was amiss. For me it was 95% a bad head cold but the other 5% didn’t fit. Also, I had only that past weekend been at a family reunion and had gotten reports that a cousin had been hospitalized.

I felt really under the weather this past weekend and decided to test myself because I was planning on visiting my daughter early this week. Negative, and the visit went fine.

Caught it on vacation in the spring after being doubly vaccinated. Got stuck overseas on a vacation because U.S. wouldn't let me back with positive test. Drank lots of orange juice and took long walks in the sunshine(was in a very rural area so I could avoid people). Symptoms lasted maybe 2 days(coughing, sore throat, mild headache). Hope you have a speedy recovery and your symptoms are mild.

Funny... we traveled for 3 weeks all over the world. My wife kept wondering WHEN i'd get sick but all was well. Airports, boats, handshakes and hugs, kisses, you name it. Even babies spewing in my face!

Got back to florida, spent about 10 days in bliss and blam wham alacazam... freaking lousy cold that refuses to quit (not covid). I attribute it to school kids, cruise ships, and a return to those thrilling days of yesteryear.

Wish anyone with covid a speedy recovery. As someone mentioned, so long as you aren't dealing with co-morbidities you will be fine.. shot up or not. Pass te nyquil lol.

If I could be so bold as to make a recommendation (if you're not taking them already), take vitamins B, C, D, and Zinc. I take them as supplements every day and have come through the pandemic in pretty damn good health.
