It's my opinion that Allar's decision to return had a lot to do with Beau's lack of focus at Sunday's practice and brought the matter to a quick resolution. Schools routinely "probe" for interest on other team's rosters and just how interested he was until Drew's decision will be open to debate.
If Franklin had permitted Beau to visit potential landing spots, he'd have half the roster taking practice time for tours.

It seems so many wanted players to be paid like professionals....free agency, pay to play, profit sharing....well this is part of the new nfl training league. I feel bad for Beau but what about the TEAM.....he made the choice to leave his team. He could have entered the portal after the CFP. I believe he received bad advice. Worst case he takes time off from school and trains till someone needs him. He might be good enough to make an NFL roster.....if so they will find him wherever he plays.

How is it his coaches and teammates as well as the majority of the media gets the issue, but PSU has fans who basically are only thinking about themselves miss the mark and then project him back at BP? School administrations shut down after this Friday across the nation. If PSU does win this weekend and then again this drags into next year and he may not get the chance to start next year elsewhere which is what all players want in the end.

The TEAM understands why this occurred so it's not about them, this is about you and your antiquated feelings about the sport as it changed and you're stuck....not him or the TEAM. Be mad at the system, not BP or the TEAM.....they seem to really grasp this. I notice these posts didn't occur when Cross left....must not have been about the TEAM then?

When Pribula soon signs with Indiana, tell me that was not the underlying urgent reason for leaving Penn State early and giving up the chance to play for the national championship with your teammates. Hurts us and helps a possible playoff opponent in the semis. Just sayin'.
He can’t play with the teams he’s signs with. This entire thread is assinine and should be locked

National media perspective (non PSU focused) seems to agree the system is messed up, but that BP could absolutely stick with PSU through the playoffs (noting he could put more film on tape since he doesn't have a lot to be a starter). Think this is more of a personal decision for BP and less about the transfer portal timelines - he found out he wasn't going to be the guy next year, is distracted (understandably), and wants to make a move. Can't blame him. Unlike most, he has his degree.

Right might actually be trying to get on with his life he has grad school upon him and maybe a school that will give him a little NIL to defray those costs for 2 years....

LOL, you can always tell the guy that wasn't good enough to actually play but was happy just to be on a team. Your rah rah 1950's BS doesn't translate to 2024 and the decisions he has to make. I know you certainly don't understand what is going on here so I do have a little sympathy for you, you're lost. The TEAM isn't upset, you are...that is what the reality is.

He absolutely could have done that and as a result would have had far fewer options and fewer, if any good options. It's not like programs aren't filling position needs with the with the guys from programs not in the playoffs. One can argue that he should have taken one for the team and stuck it out, but at least acknowledge he would have done so at no small cost. Realistically, his days of playing football are almost certainly going to be over at the end of the 2026 season, and I suspect he knows that. He can spend one of his remaining two seasons of football watching and hoping he can start the next year or he can find place where he has a chance to start for two years. If he loves the game the way he needs to to play at a high level, it's not bad advice to tell him it's okay to move on.

Just as I am, you never touched a real field in any sport. You were a scrub so the only hat you can hang on is your backup time in junior high. Your too cheap to pay for a winner and at least you admitted that you don't care about PSU football anymore....on to ignore blue hair. I hope they win it all in spite of dips***s like you.

Other players entered the portal and are staying with their current team through the end of the season. One example is a smew QB. He will be on their roster for the PSU game. Why couldn’t Beau stay at PSU through the playoff? My guess is that he‘s gone after entering the portal because Franklin wanted him gone.
I believe James has already said this, enter the portal, you move on

James said in his press conference that Pribula felt pressured to take visits while preparing for the CFP and that was part of the distraction. If it was his agent doing the pressuring that really sucks. If it was other teams, that's straight up tampering.

I suspect that contact with players or their representatives and pressuring the players by teams targeting them for transfer is about as common in CFB as helmets and shoulder pads.
