What causes these horrendous baseball stats?

Someone might want to tell USM that they do NOT want to win a natty.

Somehow Foxhall is to blame for fielding and errors. Now that he is gone everything is going in the right direction.

I would attribute some of the errors to all the walks. It messes up the flow, and infielders tend to start out on their heels instead of their toes with all the standing around. As I sit here watching this SEC tournament it makes me sick to see Kentucky, Auburn, Bama and even Tenn with better programs than us.

Starts with pitching:

Foxhall didn’t get quality pitchers to campus, except Sims and Bednar. He said in an interview once that he doesn’t do much in the way of mechanical corrections in the fall. I was thinking at that point, why did we hire you to be a coach? I was not a fan.

Next, this was a young offensive ball club. They will get better.

Our defense was terrible all year. It got better, except Alford. Outfield finally learned to stay out of the others was, late.

Poor coaching fundamentals all the way around.

Pitching coach, pitching. Pitching coach, pitching.
