Looking at the stats, we rank a bit ahead of them in most categories...ppg scored, yards/game, rushing yards/game, ppg allowed, ypg allowed, rushing yards allowed/game.

They are a bit better than us in passing yards/game and passing yards/game allowed.

If you look at mutual opponents, Vandy, Bama and A&M, there is a striking contrast. Vandy took them 2OT and they were boat raced by A&M and Bama. The combined scores of those games for Mizzou is 40 - 102 (for - against). In our games the combined scores was 97 - 54. In the OU game, of course, which was at OU, we put the game away in the 1st quarter and they never mounted an offensive threat; they took Mizzou down to the wire and coughed the game up with a late fumble. In those 4 games we are 3-1, with 3 dominant wins and 1 nail-biter loss; Mizzou is 2-2 with 2 blowout losses and 2 nail-biter wins.

The non-existent transitive property certainly leans in our favor.

Offensively, they have the dynamic duo of Burden/Wease at WR and Noel at RB.

This is probably the best we have stacked up with them in recent years. Here's hoping we can exorcise some demons.

Agreed it looks good.

I caution looking at the A&M game though. I saw a good portion of that game, and that was when A&M switched away from their running qb, and to their throwing qb.

I think the change up killed Missouri, much like switch back to the running qb screwed up LSU.

But all in all, I'd say you're right about the comparisons. And you're right about the transitive property

Historically, everything against us.

Missouri’s passing vs our suspect secondary will be the key matchup!
Our "suspect" secondary is tied for 3rd in the SEC in interceptions, third in opponent's completion %, fourth in yards per attempt, and third in passer rating against.

The pass rush is a huge part of that, of course, but also the defensive backs have been excellent this year outside of a handful of busted plays.

Our defense is just really good across the board.

I have a hard time seeing Missouri as a threat. There is something about them that makes them seem like pretenders in the conference. My feeling is not based on anything objective, it is all just "feeling".

It’s all about the pass rush. Nobody has been able to really slow it down, maybe OleMiss, but Missouri is not Ole Miss. I think our defense will keep doing what they do. If the offense keeps doing what they did the last 2 weeks , we should be just fine.. I think the only way we lose is if we turn the ball over. Maybe Missouri will come up with a brilliant plan to stop us, but… are they physically able to do it?
