I met Tommy several years ago when he was doing the morning show with Benji and Bob. They were on location and my daughter (in 3rd grade at the time) liked to listen to the show with me going to school each day. We were passing the location where they were and she asked if we had time and could go in and meet them. We had time and decided to go in. We walked in and they all were friendly at first and I just mentioned that my daughter liked listening to them and wanted to meet them all. Tommy was extremely gracious and friendly. Benji, of course, was being his usual goofy self but not really saying much to her, and Bob actually rolled his eyes and didnt speak anymore to us and actually while we were there said on the radio that they really want people coming on location that want to do business with that establishment. Tommy heard this and you could tell was really bothered. We turned to leave and waved and it was clear my daughter was a bit disappointed and as we were leaving, Tommy got up and came over and knelt down and told my daughter how glad he was to meet her and how thankful he was that she stopped by. He even gave her some things from the show. I was a 100% true fan of Tommy Moody from that point on as he was a genuinely wonderful human being. I saw him a few other times and he was exact same those times as he was the first time I met him. He will truly be missed.
