What is it about Mississippi State that ignites Career Highs?

I am pretty sure Clemson and Miami had a player with career highs this year against us. I know Shan Foster had a ridiculous night, but Rick has a tendancy to let one player beat us. There has to be something that can be done, or are we just snakebit?
