There is a lot stronger pitching on this schedule ahead of us
We can’t overreact to losing this game as everyone loses them from time to time. While it’s understandable to be down about it, it’s not certain we’ll suck…though expectations are low.
BUT…I can remember a day when fans wouldn’t even count these wins. They’d post our “true record” because these teams had no business playing us. We almost never lost these kinds of games and if we did, it was never on the weekend but would be a Wednesday night or something. If this was a one time thing…I’d get it. But man, it sure does feel like we lose a lot of these now. I’m really not ok with it. Hopeful it’s not going to occur often this season, but based on recent history…I’m not confident than it won’t.
Gotta win tomorrow. Losing the opening series to UNCG would be a pretty big downer to start the season.

It would be a HUGE DOWNER to lose this series to a NOBODY in baseball!!!!!
A Division One team but not a Power Five team and not a team that made the NCAA Tournament field last year.
UNCG plays in the SoCon and that conference is just not much in baseball.
