Are we just throwing in the towel with him for this season to let him heal 100% for next season or...... ????

Last I heard was a thigh bruise? (not mocking) (honest) But truth is an NFL player played back in the day with a broken freakin' leg.... (Pittsburgh I think???) Can't recall at the moment.

But seriously, what's up with Lloyd?

Before the game they said the thigh bruise wasn't healing. I would like to believe he would play if he could.

Saving him means nothing when his next year could be in the nfl.

If it's a deep enough bruise, it can take a while to heal. He might just opt out the rest of the season and shoot for the pros.

He would go undrafted IMHO. His MO (right or wrong is >) Injured bad and missed a whole year, and is apparently heavily injury prone. Wasted draft pick IMHO as of right now. He needs a whole season of being healthy and being a beast in order to get drafted. Again, JMHO. Right now I wouldn't touch him if I was an NFL owner.

*EDIT* I love Lloyd for the record. Want to see him RUN!!!

What is our track record in players staying to improve their skill or their draft position? There is your answer.

Fair enough. I guess I just wasn't aware it was that serious. Not knocking Lloyd but he kinda reminds me of that RB we had not too long ago who was really good but he'd bust off a good run and then take himself out of the game for like 2 qtrs. Then he'd check back in - bust another good run, act "winded" and would take another 2 qtrs off. (Was that Mike Davis? or somebody else) You'd know who I'm talking about. I honestly can't remember. I just remember him doing it..... a lot.

I think that was Mike Davis.

He would not be a high draft pick for sure, if he got drafted at all. Scouts love measurables though, and Lloyd checks the boxes there. Just considering how short the shelf life is for RBs, I could see him opting out of this debacle of an offense if he got an inkling that he'd drafted.

Exactly, does anybody think our o-line is going to magically get decent next year. He is simply removing a year from what is a very short shelf life for running backs.
