Carolina will be left out. I’ve been a fan since 1975 and nothing ever change's. We’re a 6 win team on average and every once in a while when 9. IT IS WHAT IT IS!

You may be correct. Very little historical success, a small fanbase, and no national exposure to speak of.

It’s our lot in life; the hand we were dealt. And for the most part, I’m good with being a gamecock. The other side is the fan of the ultra blue blood who considers the season over after a loss; I spend all offseason waiting for football, it means more to me than a w-l record. Not sure being a fan who considers anything less than the playoffs as not worth it is where I want to be. As long as the team plays like THEY care (ie the Holtz 0-11 team) I’m there with them. When they don’t even get a LITTLE po-ed when their qb is being brutalized or and/or their secondary is getting owned and mocked (ie our current team), it becomes a good bit more difficult to care.

A lot of teams that think they are "major" programs are going to be left out if the super conference thing comes to pass.

Aside from "we're an SEC team", I can't think of a reason why we should be included.

If things stand as they are now; I can only think of 4 SEC teams that would be in, Bama, LSU, Georgia and either Tennessee or UF (based on history, not current success). Texas and Oklahoma will both get in but I'm not counting them in the SEC.

Sounds about right. Bama, LSU, UGA, UT, UF and Auburn all get on based on the weight of history alone, in my opinion. With the exception of Florida, those teams are all top 20 all-time in wins. Florida and Auburn are in rough patches right now, but I don't their history being overlooked.

But our money comes only by virtue of being in the SEC, right?
Not really. For the 21-22 FY our AD brought in $142M. Of that, $12M came from conference distributions, and $37M came from media rights, which would exist in some capacity anyway.

Any idea where this ranks in the SEC or nationally?

Based on the site I was looking at it was 27th nationally, 10th in the SEC, which you can imagine. UK and Ark are ahead of us, but pretty expected for the most part.
