Hate to say it, but that new OSU defense - with all of those new coaches - was ultra impressive. It was well known that ND's strength was their outstanding lines and front 7 on defense and OSU just took it to them that last 2 1/2 quarters. OSU would have lost this type of game in the 2 or 3 previous years
Their last drive - for the TD - was just good ole smash mouth football - something they've lacked the last few years. This is what Michigan did to them last year. They lost that WR JSN kid early and was without Julian Fleming (injury) who is set to start this year. They still outgained ND 400 to around 250.
Interesting that they had a poll on one of their websites - Eleven Warriors - recently about what team they're most fearful of this year and by a long shot, it was PSU. We have a shot at them at home but this is a totally different OSU team.
