I want Belton to stay right where he is, he's giving us some recruiting ability in Jersey that we seemed to be missing
Word is that Belton doesn’t have the greatest relationship with the current staff (not awful, but I wouldn’t expect him to automatically be pushing guys our way).

Yeah I mean who would want a significant bump in pay, the tax hassle and all

From what I understand he plays it straight with our staff. In fact, this was one of his players a couple weeks ago:

And he reposted this as well:

That said, I doubt he's a candidate for the RB position. He's valuable where he's at right now and can use some experience.

I'd say that "plays it straight" is a good characterization. He's awesome about "pimping" his guys, retweeting anything about them and the Winslow program, etc. He wants his guys to each find the best situation for them...isn't going to push guys to PSU due to loyalty, but also isn't going to steer guys away from us.

D. Shaw might be a good add. Recruit NJ and Philly, was a Broyles nominee, some WR coach experience, and prolly won't break the bank.
2022 made 247 top 30 under 30 coaches.

I would make fullbacks great again. Watching a fullback step on the toes of a LB on an Iso is a thing of beauty akin to a Picasso.
With the offensive line returning and the unproven wide receiver group, I personally think the shift to more of a power offense wouldn’t be a bad thing. Imagine if this team had a Jon Whitman or Brian Milne, could really work the play action game in to Reynolds or one of the new wideouts.

The thought is kinda giving me a "chubby."

One of the best days of my life occurred at PSU spring practice either in 2010 or 2011. My sons (by then adults) would take time to visit with my high school coach (Joe Sarra) and take in some activity (usually in Holuba) It was always great to catch up with coach and on this particular day, he introduced me to George Chaump. Chaump was a legendary HS coach in my playing days, but to me, I met Woody Hayes' backfield coach. I was more excited than an eleventh grade girl on prom night! LOL

You cut Chaump career short, coached for Woody, HC at IUP, Navy & Marshall. Coached for Tampa Bay as well

PTSD! My senior year of high school our PE teacher made us come up with choreographed aerobics routines to “Wake Me Up Before You Gogo”. As bad as that sounds, she then recorded them and showed them to us as a class when we had health. When she zoomed in on me, my tongue was hanging out of my mouth and I appeared to be staring at the behind of the cute girl in front of me (for the record, I was looking at her feet so I could follow the routine). I never lived that one down.

Hot off the press rumor

He was in the mix for tOSU when they had an opening before.

Seems like a solid option, but it seems odd to leave a school where you have so much history/ties (and he also made his mark in the NFL at Dallas which is relatively nearby) to go somewhere else for a lateral move. I know $$$ talks though.
