The best opposing QB I saw in person was definitely Flutie. Saw his first college appearance in '81 at Beaver Stadium. Lions were pummeling BC and Flutie came in and took the offense right down the field at the end of the game for a TD and I said this kid should start. Then in '84 he was back at Beaver Stadium and he made plays I've never seen made before or since. On one he was chased towards the east sideline, pivoted back counter-clockwise away from the south endzone and fired a pass through a needle for a completion. Incredible athlete.

Best QB season was Kerry in '94. Either Chuck Fusina's or Trace's junior years was probably #2.

Your question was who was the best college QB I saw in person, I saw Marino against Temple in person Never saw him against PSU. Never saw Testaverde or Kelly etc in person.
The 48-14 game is not one I saw in-person so it’s not commenurate to your question.
Do you even understand the question you asked? Dipshit.
🙄
Figured you went to the 48-14 game. Only a true dipshit would be impressed by someone playing against Temple.

Collins, Brees, Randle-El. I’m sure there are others that fit the description, but these 3 come to the top of my head.

Who was the best college QB you saw play in person? I'm trying to rack my brain and I saw Flutie, Testaverde, Cam Newton, Tebow, and Winston as far Heisman Trophy-winning QBs in their Heisman Trophy winning season, I also saw Trevor Lawrence and Troy Smith (not in his senior year but rather 2005 vs PSU). I'd have to say Winston or Flutie.

So who was the best college QB you saw play in person?
Flutie, Brady, Marino, Brees, Major Harris, Esiason, Montana if you count the Big 33, Kelly,

Penn state. Kerry Collins. Man that wasn’t hard.
TOMMY SHUMAN, from POTTSTOWN,PA. PSU...1972.1973..most valuable player in COTTON bowl and most valuable in SUGAR bowl. Guess what Heisman trophy winner was also in the backfield those games??? HE NEVER GOT THE RESPECT HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN!!!!!! HE FORCED A 5 STAR QB. TO TRANSFER TO TEMPLE111

Brady? Brady wasn’t even good enough to be the full time starter at Michigan. He split time with Drew Henson. Brady in college was not the Brady of the NFL.

The best college QB you saw play in person?

This is difficult because I been fortunate to see a few good to great QBs in person. Below are my choices in no particular order.

Dan Marino, Pittsburgh
Drew Brees, Purdue -- has been quoted as supposedly saying that his greatest regret in football is not beating PSU
Doug Flutie, Boston College
Kerry Collins, PSU
Todd Blackledge, PSU
Chuck Fusina, PSU
Chuck Burkhart, PSU
Frank Reich, Maryland
Boomer Esiason, Maryland
Dave Clark, PSU
John Hufnagel, PSU

There maybe a couple of others ... Have been very fortunate.

Jim Harbaugh ! He made all of the right decisions on the field and was probably one of the smartest CF QBs ever. His intelligence has obviously transferred over into his HC ability.

He's very straight forward and his press conferences are easy to understand. It's taken him 5 or 6 years to get everything in place, but his dominance of CF is about to take off. Move over Alabama !

I saw Brady throw two TD passes in the 4th quarter, at Beaver Stadium. Both throws were beautiful.

Kerry Collins
Joe Flacco, that guy had a cannon in college.
Tom Brady
Blake Bortles, that guy lit us up

Again, only based on how they were in college.
