How does Mark Emmert continue to have a job and receive that big paycheck. He has no vision. Just sits back and hopes issues will disappear or someone else will take the reins. Incompetent is being too kind.

People generally just aren't as interested in women's basketball.
That's a reasonable statement, and I doubt DS would disagree. Of course, she's trying to change that.

Notwithstanding the change, I think what DS is getting at is that the NCAA is short-selling women's March Madness. If it's valued at $100m, and the NCAA is selling rights for $34m, that's a problem. No different than if men's March Madness is valued at $1b and the NCAA sold rights for $340m.

Same shortsighted NCAA who essentially gives away revenue to bowls instead of promoting a 16-team true playoff in FBS football.

Lol at thinking the NCAA wouldn’t gladly agree to this to make money.

That’s on the schools who don’t want expansion.

It’s just nonsensical to think the NCAA wouldn’t take more money if they were being offered more money. It’s literally an organization designed to make money.

The NCAA is generally pretty good at squeezing every last dime out of its cash cows.

I wish college baseball got half the publicity that women's college basketball gets. Heck, I wish men's college soccer, wrestling, golf, and track and field got 1/10th the coverage of women's college basketball. But it is what it is.

So, women's basketball tourney is worth $100 million dollars, but we, as one of the top teams in the nation, lose $4.5 million a year by having women's basketball.

I don't think so. Somebody paid off the appraiser.

That's why Dawn wants units, so we don't lose money and and the school earns a share based on success. As of now, we get the same share as Wofford.

But wait.... success means more money?
What a concept!
What happened to equity without equal effort? Such irony

Why doesn't she ask for women's basketball tickets to cost the same as the men's basketball tickets?

That would certainly help us lose less money.

Prices are going up for next season. Can't find the link to show it.
