Why is race the key issue in these comments and not the quality of the officiating?

Had the officials not been black/brown, would ''throwing them under the bus and running over them'' then be OK?

No. I think the issue is how did this review get out publicly? I have heard of the 2 Minute Report to public review professional games. However, it is a little odd that this report got out after Iowa featuring Caitlin Clark lost. They lost by 17 points, but we going to throw out a public report rebuking the refs. Come on man. I know people don't like to bring up the complications of race, but that's what we're doing?

Dawn has made it an issue. If you follow her twitter site, people are growing tired of her bringing race into every conversation. If I could ask coach one question. ESPN just came out with the top 25 female college basketball players, in the top 5 are 4 white girls. In the top 15, most are white girls.

So here is the question, as long as you have been coaching, how many white girls have ever started on any of your teams?

It seems from what I read here and on other sites, the message Dawn has sent to recruits is that, if you're white don't bother. I wonder if Chloe will ever get to be a star at Carolina or will she be relegated to a few mins here and there. (Can't have a white girl shine).

Dawn is the worst! Some Carolina fans will sell their soul for a women's basketball championship!

You seem to be playing the race card.

Dawn is a race baiter and political activist fist and foremost, so much that she had most Carolina fans pulling for Iowa over our own team because of it.

Really.
Because I'm asking why the comments are focused on race and not the bad officiating?
Instead of commenting on the missed calls she goes straight to the race of the officials.
Why is that even an issue?

Because pointing out that someone is playing the race card is now playing the race card?

What's the story behind this?

Long story.

Some players for an opposing team said the BYU student section was screaming racial slurs at her.

(It actually started with her aunt or something, who was running for office in another state)

Anyway, Dawn cancelled our game(s) with them, making a great speech about combating racism.

Within about a day video was released, testimony was given by local police who were in the crowd, and the racial slur story fell apart faster than the #metoo movement does when Biden was accused.

Why is Dawn the worst. Cause she supports black women? Sounds like your issues is because you a lil racy. Hate for black people to speak on black issues.

That cause your racism rather you root for the white girls rather than a black woman speaking on black issues smh

We all see who the racist is. She would be a better fit at SC State

The problem is this was not a race issue until her comments made it one. The issue being discussed was bad officiating not the race of the officiating crew. Why turn everything into a race issue? Just make an intelligent coaching comment on the bad calls and move on Coach.

Maybe because all of the officiating in the FF was bad, but the ONLY one that got reviewed was the one game that had all black/brown officials. That’s a fact. Coincidence? IDK but the perception it gives is the only bad game called is the one with the B/B officials. So what will happen is those 3 (and those 3 only) will not be able to call that game again when in fact the entire crew from the FF should be reviewed. So Dawn, a black woman, is telling that same story and standing up for them. That’s it.

I'm certain the game was chosen for review because the officials were B/B. lol
Had nothing to do with the importance of the game - that would be foolish thinking. If the officials were not B/B, then the review would have been fine I suppose?
Following the BYU farce with this just moves us closer to LSU in the disliked category and drives sentiment towards UConn and Iowa.
Just coach BB and leave the race card/politics at home.

She’s not just a basketball coach. She’s a human being with opinions just like you. She was obviously asked a question about it. She was giving her thoughts.

The question was about poor officiating - had nothing to do with race. Just give a coaching answer regarding poor officiating in such an important game and move on.
Those who object to politics on a sports board take notice of who is responsible for mixing the two.

This is not accurate. Just saying coaches will do their best to get the best players to help them win. Red, yellow, black or white. Does not matter.
