Can’t criticize Lemonis for that one. He went left on left with a reliever who has been dominant all season. The wheels fell off. But the decision was sound. We lost this game by making a pitcher with an almost 7.00 ERA look like Greg Maddox.
Your right he was dominate but was better against right hand hitters, plus it was their power hitter who wasnt having a good regional. It was a bad move pulling Black who was dominating tonigh.

Count was 2-0 with two pitches way outside the strike zone. The pitch he stole on was 3-0. Obviously he doesn't know that, but you don't take the bat out of Hunter's hand at that point. Even if he held the bag, they are walking Hunter with the open base. If there were strikes already, then you can try it.

On top of it all again is fundamentals and our weakness in that regard. Jordan's slide was way to close to the bag as was Mershon's earlier. That's how you jam your ankle. Plus as Todd Walker even said on Mershon getting picked off, there was no reason for him to be leaning our thinking of going to 3rd base.
Thanks for the explanation

I would have been fine with leaving Black in. In fact, that’s probably what I would have done. But you can’t say bringing in your best reliever in to face their best HR hitter down 1 run in the 9th was a bad decision. Just didn’t work out. But that’s on Davis, not Lemonis. There’s a million bigger things to criticize him for.

What's crazy is that he wasn't out and the review showed it. Hmmmm
I am sure you are referring to Mershon's pickoff. Yeah he might have managed to touch the base before he got tagged but you can't put the umpire in that position of the ball beating you back to the bag and there even being a close play there. As they said in the broadcast, before replay there would have been no doubt he was out. That is a mistake whether he made it back or not.

we might win alot of games under Lemonis but we will do in spite of ****** Coaching. a clear picture of how ****** --is the amount of 1 run games we lost. His bad decisions and our teams low baseball IQ cost us at least 10 games. Both loses to UV were because of poor Coaching and crappy base running..
