After 4 games-

- He still ranks #1 in the nation in completions per game!
- He now is tied for 1st in the nation in TD passes
- He is now #2 in the nation is passing yards (literally on 2 yards from 1st place!),
- He is #1 in all three categories in the SEC.

There is no doubt Will is the top ranked and best quarterback not only in the SEC, but in the whole nation. If he can keep maintaining these numbers, he not only easily gets invited to the ceremony in New York, but he very likely can be our first Heisman trophy winner here at State!

I would love it if he did but ain’t no way in hell Will Rogers wins the Heisman.
We go 10-2 he may have a shot.
Anything less than 10-2 and not a chance

Lol.

Go look at SEC statistics. He is closer to Spencer Rattler, Jayden Daniels, and Richardson in yards per attempt than the top Bennett, Levi’s and Hooker.

His longest completion of the season is 35 yards. Will is a good qb and a good MSU story but he’s not sniffing the Heisman race.

When you throw it twice as much as the average offense you obviously are going to rack up yards

Hypesman talk for MSU players this early is a bad, bad omen

It doesn't matter what his numbers are if he's not on a team competing for the national championship or in the top 10 he's not going to get any consideration for the Heisman Trophy.

If we handed the ball off to Dillon Johnson 35 times per games and he averaged 4 ypc, he'd gain about 150 yard per game and be among the leading rushers in the country, but he wouldn't be a heisman candidate. Had Will balled out against the corndogs and we won, he'd may get some consideration.

We get it. You think Leach’s offense is all about inflating quarterback stats and not actually winning games. You don’t have to keep beating us over the head with it. Get some new material.

Will looked very pedestrian against LSU's defense. He will face five more defenses with similar athletes and with coaches able to scheme just as good if not better

Will is the best passing QB we've had at State, but he's still late on throws and cannot consistently lead his receivers open. He's built up his numbers on weak opponents...

So please... even if he wins 10 games - we won't - he's not winning the Heisman and I doubt he'd get invited no matter his numbers.

More than numbers, Will needs to lead the offense to some great victories. Anything short of that won't win a Heisman.

I'm probly as big of a Will and Leach fan as there is on here, but unless we go undefeated the rest of the year Will isn't even an after thought for Heisman.

Rogers will never win heisman but that LSU defense will probably be in the top three he faces all year.

Paul Hornung won the 1956 Heisman Trophy in a year when his team went 2–8. Our team this year is going to be way better than that.

Most heisman winners were not on undefeated teams. Hell, QB’s like Ty Detmer, Tim Tebow, Robert Griffin, and Lamar Jackson all were on teams with at least 3-4 losses. Even Steven McNair lost 3-4 games the year he came in 3rd, and that was in Division 1-aa !

Austin Williams has as good of a shot at the Heisman as Rogers does.

47dog, I just looked up Tom Brady’s rank (lifetime) for yards per catch. He is 183 out of 219. Bottom 20 percent. Thought a little perspective might help here… carry on.

If uga wins 11 games then their qb deserves it

What!? You’re crazy. Bennet currently ranks 20th in the nation in completions, compared to Will being #1. Will has 50 more completions than Bennet through only 4 games! Bennet currently ranks 12th nationally in passing yards, compared to Will being #2 (only 2 yards out of 1st!!). And if you’re still not convinced, Bennet currently is tied for 82nd with only 5 TD passes, while our guy Will is leading the nation #1 with 16 TD passes! Not to mention, how many 4-5 star guys is Bennet playing with around him compared to Will? The numbers don’t lie, Will Rogers is the best qb in the country. While Bennet is at best the 4th or 5th best qb just in the SEC!

I'm expecting a "Rogers for Heisman" bumper sticker insert in this week's magazine.

I seriously don’t understand why our college isn’t proactively promoting him as such, especially with regards to us being 3-1 and our qb leading no the nation in many prominent categories. It’s almost as if our administration has the same old negative mentality as most of the posters on here downplaying our qb.

They're not doing it because they're not that stupid. They'd be mocked endlessly for it, just like we still mock ole miss for the Deuce for Heisman stupidity.

I can't really tell if you're trolling or not....on one hand it's hard to believe anyone is this stupid, but on the other hand, I know there are some jean's page idiots out there who think like this.

He is definitely trolling. He’s a Leach hater who thinks the Air Raid offense is just for inflating quarterback stats and he won’t shut up about it.

Rogers will be lucky to be in the conversation for All-SEC at year end. Just not enough horsepower to drive his wagon for post season honors. It would take him leading an upset of Bama and/or Georgia to boost his stock high enough.

How do those numbers stack up to third year WSU and TT QBs under Leach? Of coarse we are happy to have production from Will but without a major upset of a blue blood Rogers is going to be viewed from the outside as little more than a tool in the Air Raid system.
