Will we see any OL shuffling for the bowl game?

I would like to see Scruggs @ Center, moving Miranda to right guard and get Tengwell in the lineup on the left side.

Thots?

Is Miranda still on the team?
I think he is, but Phil Grosz is reporting that #73 (Miranda) is no longer on the team. I made a mistake with the player numbers. Walker is #53 and I thought he had declared for the draft. I apologize forvtat oversight. I would still expect Tengwall to play alot in the bowl game. Great experience for Landon. Might even see more of Anthony Whigan somewhere along the OL.

Should have been that way all year, you don't move a all big10 player from there position. Very bad move and coaching.

What All-B1G player are you referring to? Surely not Miranda and Scruggs barely played last year despite Fries struggling mightily.

Miranda was 2nd team all big 10 for the coaches and media at Guard not Center in 2020.

That was pretty generous, but I agree with you he shouldn’t have moved. Scruggs should have been the C. I’m also open to seeing Tengwall, Effner, Christ, or anybody else who has earned at least a look in the bowl game. I realize everybody wants to win, but at this point it should be about evaluating the roster going forward. I’m also hoping Villeaux gets a few series at QB also.

I wouldn't disagree - with regard to Miranda, or to it being better to use available opportunities to focus on development.
But I am not sure that 50 snaps in a bowl game, as opposed to working with players every day over multiple years, should provide any meaningful "evaluation". Obviously, from a fan perspective, the time we see in a live game is the only time we get to see them. Every evaluation point adds to the pot (and, especially at some positions, you want to see the reaction under the lights of live action), but if the coaching staff needs to see 50 snaps in a bowl game to let them know if they do or do not have a legitimate player - after having them for hundreds of practice sessions, drills, scrimmages, and whatever else they want to see, and any level of challenges and evaluations they choose to construct - that would have to be a pretty incompetent coaching staff.

Phil said he was gone last week, but I guess we will see on Jan 1. Maybe he got his guys mixed up and it was Walker he was talking about.
Now, I'm confused. But I think it is Miranda who is no longer with team and not Walker. Sorry folks.

I'm hoping that Clifford gets a few series at QB, and Veilleux plays the majority of the bowl game.......

Clifford does not need more experience, but Veilleux does.

Hope you are right...but my gosh, Walker really had some lousy games this year.

Oweh didn't suck last year. He just didn't have a sack. Many here thought that would hurt him in the draft; it did not.

Walker was missing something this year. He had one great block near the goal line on a rushing TD by Cain against somebody and a whole lot of whiffs and misses.
