I thought the settlement was to pay ex players damages for loss of income. I don't think that mandates paying current players but I could be wrong. There is a bipartisan effort for a bill that would block student athletes from gaining employee status.

I'd rather see football and basketball separated from the other sports in terms of leagues and finances. I agree it's silly for minor sports to travel across country constantly for games. Keep the tradional leagues for minor sports.

Oh, and do the college football Commissioner thing.

It mandates paying current athletes - cap is around $21mm first year and goes up every year after. Also creates an NIL clearing house to review deals and ensure they are fair market value - no doubt this will be challenged. But paying athletes is happening.

I don't see "mandate" anywhere. Just "allow to pay". I think they would have to make athletes employees, which will be contested....https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/43348934/house-settlement-ncaa-sec-big-ten-nil

I’m convinced it will get to the point where a player leaves one team after week two or three and is playing for another team in week five.
halftime- play for the other team in the third quarter

what would happen to a student who tried to leave Penn State after 50% of the semester is gone. that has to be after the last day to drop classes. IF a student did that, would they essentially have all F's in their courses? The next school would not accept a student with all Fs. As I recall it was never possible to transfer to another university in the middle of a semester.

In your parlance, here is #1 with the assist to #2 when they played together.

I don’t know what parlance means but I love the 1 and 2 talk. Girls are on point! I have a 40? year old sdsu law hoodie around here somewhere, big bro is a lawyer in la hoya. Based on him and echo park 1, the young lady ain’t never coming home :)

So, would it be possible that if we were playing against Purdue and Allar decides at halftime that CJF is a clueless Head Coach and decides to play for Purdue: what would stop him from walking over to the other locker room to announce his intentions to Purdue's coach and AD that he is "transferring" but CJF and PSU won't let him, so he is making the move on his own? Could see this happening soon in games very soon.....
