The only thing I'm pissed about is his dad drug this **** on and apparently lied to Mullen. We wasted a lot of time and resources for a guy to drop us at the 11th hour.

but the way the Newtons handle the process by constantly changing their dates and telling Paul Jones all this info only to change it at the end is what sucks the most. If he really was waiting for a firm offer from Auburn they should of just remained quite. I feel sorry for Paul Jones because Cecil lied to him at the very end. He was only reporting what he was told. I know its part of the process but I lost a lot of respect for Newtons. I hope Russel is more that ready come next year when we play them.

I'm glad I am not the only one who feels like they put a big 17ing on us. This **** has drug on entirely too long, only for the glorified pimp daddy to up and at the last minute say he is going to Auburn. Here's to hoping McPhee plants his sorry *** and Tyler Russell becomes the greatest quarterback in State history, not that that will be too hard. Kiss my *** newton.

Got one thing for all of you.....quit the GD whining!!

Cam Newton screwed us, he used us.......he knew he could come play for Coach Mullen....no matter what. He won a JUCO National Championship, got a better offer, he took it!!....Get over it!!

His plan (or Cecils) worked to perfection!! He is a scumbag!!

So, lets all sit around and whine ....like a bunch of women.....or get over it.....and move on!!

No time for a 17'ing funeral.....need to concentrate on whats left......and by all means we need to put another clock on the wall.....how many days are left before we kick the ever living **** out Auburn....and Cam Newton!!

I wish that we would have been competing against MSU for Newton. I have always liked MSU and had a lot of respect for MSU. You have the great small college town atmosphere just like Auburn. Hope you have a great recruiting year and beat the Rebels in 2010. I am sure with the great class of the MSU program and the MSU family that you will be OK.

The guy was kicked out of Florida for theft. How much respect could you have had for the Newtons to begin with? I wanted him because he would have made our football team better, possibly MUCH better, but I never had any illusions that the guy or his family were high character people. I guess based on that I shouldn't be surprised that he lied to our staff about what he intended to do.

he was not kicked off the team. How many times have we gone over this? He was arrested but there was no proof he was kicked off the team. He left because of lack of playing time and when Mullen left Florida Meyer didn't guarantee his spot as the back up to Tebow. His dad was a preacher. So I'm sorry, if I believe out of all the people in this world that he would man of character.

kicked off the football team. I said kicked out of Florida but truly I know he was likely "encouraged" to leave and since he didn't want to sit behind Tebow he obliged. Whatever the actual details there is nothing in the story that makes me believe Newton has much character and the latest saga just serves to confirm that fact.

Im tired of hearing about the dipshit. Im glad he finally decided on where he wanted to go. Now I hope we knock his dick in the dirt when we play Auburn next season and the year after that.
