White House clarifies LSU women's invitation
Jill Biden's spokesperson on Tuesday walked back the first lady's dual invitation to the national champion LSU women's basketball team and runner-up Iowa.

“"I know we'll have the champions come to the White House; we always do. So, we hope LSU will come," she said. "But, you know, I'm going to tell Joe I think Iowa should come too, because they played such a good game."
After LSU's victory, Tigers coach Kim Mulkey said she would go to the White House if the team was invited.
LSU star Angel Reese tweeted a link to a story on Jill Biden's remarks Monday. "A JOKE," she wrote, along with three rolling-on-the-floor-laughing emojis.”

I don't understand why people aren't allowed to have an opinion about the situation without almost immediately being labeled as racist. The example that of Clark doing the Cena gesture against Louisville, she was looking right at their bench when she did it. That's unnecessary. If she had done it immediately after hitting a 3 and doing it in a more general way where she wasn't targeting someone, ok, fine. When Reese did it, she did it on the free throw line and Clark was looking away. OK, you made your point, let's move on. But then she follows Clark around the court and does it with the ring finger point. That's unsportsmanlike. But yet, if I complain like that, I'm racist. Sorry, I'm a curmudgeon who is tired of this 'look at me' generation of sports and would prefer they just hand the ball to the official and celebrate with their teammates.
I would have thought that John Cena was old enough to know that the five knuckle shuffle was something done in private.

I thought this was settled. The First Lady clarified her comment and said that lsu was invited as the winner. Furthermore, both Clark and the iowa coach said that only lsu should be invited.
Reese:
“I don’t accept the apology because you said what you said … You can’t go back on certain things that you say … They can have that spotlight. We’ll go to the Obamas.’ We’ll go see Michelle. We’ll see Barack.”
I’d be a bit surprised if the Obamas hosted LSU for a victory party to be honest….

2. reese is racist.
They probably do. The Obamas are big basketball fans. Michelle's brother starred at Princeton, was the HC at Brown and Oregon State. He's currently the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
I'd be surprised if the Obamas upstaged the President by hosting their own soiree. And as Bob suggested, I think Coach Mulkey will have the final say.
