Quick rundown:
Mississippi State (Alivia Buxton) scored their first goal with about 30 seconds left in the first half. Just a beautiful play on the ball.

NM State got a few foul calls to go their way and shifted the field and scored with about 20 minutes left in the game. Mississippi State had kept the ball on the NM State side of midfield up to that point.

Mississippi State scored the game winner off a header from a corner kick with about 3 minutes left and iced it after that. It was Rylie Combs first career goal.

The soccer team is a gritty bunch. They’ve been ravaged by injuries this season but still are grinding out results. The announcer said only five players have played in all 20 games this season. Incredible with that attrition that we’ve still had our best season ever.

Arkansas up 4-0 early on Missouri State.

Unless MO St makes a miraculous comeback, that eliminates Starkville hosting rounds 2 & 3.

It will be in Arkansas unless St. Louis wins their game vs Memphis tomorrow.

Memphis beat St. Louis, which (I believe) means we’ll be in Arkansas for rounds 2 & 3.

Round 2 would be vs Memphis. If we can advance, it would be the winner of Arkansas vs Ohio State in Round 3.

At this point, we’re playing with house money anyway.

Damn! Saint Louis was a #2 seed. We will be in Fayetteville next weekend. And both Memphis and Arkansas are winnable games for us, although both are also capable of beating us. Like you say, we're playing with house money anyway, but this has a chance to be a truly historic season.
