Would the score be the same if Levis played?

We still win. He isn't that good.
We’ll never know but we’d have had to defend against the pass which would have opened up their running game even more. In the 4th when we needed a few first downs, we couldn’t push them. UK was still fighting. Imagine if they were still in the game - or leading at that point.

Don’t know. Don’t care. You play with who you got. Nobody gave a flip that we played with a coach at QB part of last year.

We're playing out the season missing two of our key defensive starters. It goes with the game.

I’m sure it would have been different. Maybe a loss. But I sure as heck didn’t see any teams refuse to count a win against us last year because we were on a third string grad transfer QB. And the best teams still win with a backup QB (see Alabama and ATM). So I’m quite satisfied with our win.

Would have been interesting as Carolina would have had to defend the run as well as the pass vs basically only having to be concerned with the running game..still gave up over 120 yards to one RB.

I think the fumble on the opening kickoff just set the tone for the game for Carolina - think of this as well , limiting a team to 14 points on their field , says a lot about the D even if the concern was pretty much one issue.

The QB that UK had , never played a down in an actual game outside of their spring game..boy did it show.

As 18 and others said, doesn’t matter. We played who we played and won. In the W/L column, it all looks the same.

However in the land of what ifs, no I don’t think we win if Levi’s is playing. We absolutely did not respect their ability to throw the ball, hence why we played cover zero a few times. If Levi’s plays they have the ability to stretch the field and make us respect the pass. That gives Rodriguez fewer folks to have to run through.

in the end what is surprising is not so much the drop off between QB 1 and 2 at KY, but the difference between QB 1 and 2 at Bama. If Young is unable to play, Bama looks average.

probably a loss.
Levis is the greatest average qb of all time. The fact Mel Kiper thinks he’s a good qb draft prospect tells you all you need to know. Kiper is always wrong. Pro scouts laugh at Mel’s predictions.

watched Levis many times…..he’s a dime a dozen. UK being good was simply hype built off beating an average UF team and some patsies.

We were down 5…countem 5 starters on D. Ask UK if they could beat anyone losing a starting DT, Best LB, best DE, two DBs. He!!, we had no qb last year and the all powerful UK BEAT US BY 6. Stoops was 59-53 starting this season. Big culture changer there.

But Bama won with backup QB and KY did not, that's the difference.

Okay. Not sure if your point.

I was saying that the drop off between QB 1 and 2 at KY is not surprising. They have had a good run for a few years, but over the last 30 years there isn’t much there to warrant having top notch kids sit behind another.

Bama is the opposite. With their pedigree, I expected their backup to be better than most starters. He was not, but quite pedestrian actually. Turned the ball over three times. Bama won in spite of him.

Levis was ‘gimpy’, through five games he had been sacked NINETEEN TIMES. Four per game! We registered six sacks against his back up, who wasn’t ‘gimpy’. We scored more on UK’s defense at their place than Ole Miss did in a home game. Levis doesn’t play defense, so I say we cut their butt anyway. Who cares? We played four different starting QB’s in 2021. In six losses, I don’t recall one single team apologizing or wondering if we had a steady QB how we would have done….

You have to ask “what would the score have been if every player for both teams was healthy?” Can’t just ask about the one player for UK.

Yep. Give us back our injured defensive players, and we might have had 12 sacks. Their oline is bad.

What if Garcia was not kicked off the team? We will never know so it really doesn't matter.

It was a good win regardless. Follow it up with a victory over a mediocre A&M team (3-3) at home next weekend and that would resemble some real progress.

Yes. Their OLine is terrible and he can't move. Same outcome. Our defense was the difference. Mattered not.
