Had a blast. Any other sixpackers down in Gainesville? Would be sweet if we had a bar with a bunch of Dawgs. I'm ready to party after that game</p>

there is a 100% chance you will run into somebody from there or someone that knows someone from there. I used to tell all the crazy stories about us in jones county to my "new" friends when i got to college, and they would say i was full of ****. Now they run into those same folks or other folks from there that tell them the same stories...no matter where they are. You could be in freakin argentina and run into someone from jones county.

Since I was born in Laurel, and had relatives there. We are freaking everywhere.

Incidentally, I didn't see anything posted on here last weekend about our JCJC Bobcats making it all the way to the final game of the JuCo baseball national championship.

Probably because nobody else cared.

the guys are idiots/nuts and there is something in the water down there because the chicks are badass.

I guarantee you that damn near every person on this board has a story about someone from jones county.

When I moved up here after graduating from MSU 45 years ago, was a young guy from Laurel named Walters.

Yeah, I know, that's like meeting someone from Louisiana named Landry or Boudreau. Or Smith or Jones.

Witnessed him "shoot" a case of beer one evening, 24 cans in 28 minutes. One of our home boys, for real.
He didn't puke.

Also:
Beautiful chicks from Laurel were legendary, even back in my day.

for our Maroon and Gold Bobcats, under a coach named Paul E. Davis.

Just thought I'd drag that out of the closet, and dust it off for the younger crowd.
