While I agree someone is probably not going to tune in and watch a game solely because of the broadcasters. However, bad broadcasting can ruin an otherwise intriguing game. When ESPN had Booger McFarland on Monday Night Football, I literally never watched the broadcast. He was just so bad I couldn't enjoy the game, no matter how good the game itself might have been.Let's be honest (and I think Iger is doing that right now), the game is the star, not the sideline personalities. Can they enhance (or take away from) the game experience? I think so. But at the end of the day, people are going to watch the games they want based on the matchups, not whose voice they hear during the broadcast.
