Borrowed from another board...posted by Political Hack

Same group that told me about the OM facility
money being used for the general fund (now coach buyouts) told me this
morning that Yancy threw out a bit of knowledge last night during
chat... get this...

Yancy says OM coaches would not take Quay right now if he called
to commit. Said the coaches say he's down their board and that he's
maxed out his talent and they wouldn't take him.

it's amazing people pay for this stuff. Even the OM homers were laughing at him.

I have so many reactions to that I can't even start.

since i question whether yancy actually said it, before you start mocking him, you better check his track record against rosebowl. even you guys acknowledge that in the end yancy has been right more than wrong. i'll agree if he did say it, he's showing his dumbassery.

I would say that most 3A academy players would be an improvement from what they are playing right now.

I think everyone is well aware he is a dumbass. This is a common rebel reaction. Instead of just addressing and sticking tothe topic at hand that Quay Evans, 5 star DT from Morton, is no longer good enough for Ole Miss, you immideately try to say, well he's better than State's idiot.

I have a good feeling Yancy's little 2 year run of getting **** right is coming to an abrupt halt this year, as the connections he had my no longer be so connected. But that's just my opinion. Instead, we will now hear more of this ********, like we did a few years ago, when even most ole miss fans, on this board atleast, acknowledged Yancy for the fool that he is. This is the same guy that said "there's a lot of misinformation out there, even from me."

But to your subject changing point, yes, Yancy slaughtered Rosebowl the last few years, and rosebowl is a complete tool who doesn't know his *** from a hole in the ground. Why anyone would pay money for either of their "information" I will never understand. Especially when you can pretty much get it for free on here or nafoom.

Never mentioned Rose Bowl, and I didn't mock Yancy. I stated what was posted elsewhere. When I'm mocking Fancy, you'll know it.

1. WTF does Rosebowl have to do with this discussion?

2. Yancy has better lines of communication with those close to the Rebel program than Steve does with MSU. Hell, when OM goes on a recruiting visit Yancy knows what flavor of little debbie snacks the mama put out before the staff leaves the house. OM has always funneled info to Yancy.

BUT....

If you're implying Yancy is more accurate in his talent evaluations than Rosebowl, you don't follow recruiting very much. Yancy either doesn't know **** about athletes or doesn't have the professional fortitude to call it like he sees it. However, when Rosebowl says a kid can play, he can usually play.

The allegiance we have for Rosebowl has been tested. But we still think he is a genius so back off

tunnel and see's another headlight coming so he automatically falls down the list. That doesn't say he's coming our way by any means, just that he told them no.

None of these self proclaimed recruiting gurus know dick. They just parrot what the masses want to hear. However, I seriously doubt that right now the Rebel masses want to hear that Ole Miss is not interested in one of the best players in the state.

Forward Rebels.

Cause any highly rated and talented player like that in which Yancy tries to spin to the masses that he is "down the board" is MSU bound. Dixon was down the board and they got their man if you remember.

If Yancy knew, or had good reason that he was going to AL or LSU, then UM would of course be neck and neck with them for the best in the country.

I would say that most of the Ole Miss "coaches" are pretty ****** at projecting how players will develop at the next level. Just sayin'.
