That's true and you can win games in a number of ways - Game 1 was not by our prowess but Vandy's failures was my point.
Game 2 was the opposite - we flat out beat them with our bats, pitching and defense.

I'm definitely not a pitching coach. I do wonder if Veach is used for optimum performance. I feel he is stretched out too long. With a good "second" pitch such as a fastball, slider etc would help.
Being an Astro fan, I relate him to a college version of Ryan Pressley. I get anxious when he comes in also . Alot of contact versus misses.
What are your thoughts.

I agree. It looks like he's throwing basketballs which can't miss the bat. Have to have a second and even third pitch to keep the batter guessing. Almost looks like a pitching machine or batting practice at times.

I hear ya. Veach has been really hard to figure. One outing he's only good for three batters. Another outing good for three innings. Gotta play it by ear I suppose. I do like him a lot but it's key for our pitching coach to recognize asap what you are going to get out of him.

I'm one of the naysayers. I couldn't be happier at this point. I didn't think our pitching could deal with Vandy. I hope we keep it rolling. A sweep today would be huge.

Are we going to see Kimball today? He's been a bust so far. I am hoping he'll pull it together.

Looking around the league teams are already beating each other up. Every win is precious.

I'm still frustrated with Kingston. I like the guy but dang, he makes some odd moves. I know he has data I don't have, but sound baseball is sound baseball. You don't always need a spreadsheet to know what the right move is, and you must be careful with "analytics" because they can make you too predictable.
