You can’t be that stupid. Leach was the OC at Oklahoma one year. In 1999, he averaged 36 points a game. 36 points in 1999. You know, the year our defense was giving up like 10 points a game. He did such a good job that Texas tech hired him immediately. Then, Texas tech fired the best coach they ever had. Haven’t come close to replicating his success. Same thing happened at Washington State. They suck now if you were wondering. Everywhere he has been he has raised the bar. He has never been fired or left a program due to on the field results. Ever.
You can argue all you want that his system is antiquated and won’t work in the SEC now. It appears to work pretty good against most SEC teams that don’t have elite defenses. Looks about the same as what Mullen trotted out there against Bama.
But to say he isn’t one of the top 15-20 college coaches over the past 20 years is just ridiculous. Hell, he won coach of the year twice.
And yes. I was ready to move on from Mullen after the 2014 season. Not fire, but I was ready for him to leave. That garbage against Ole Miss and Georgia Tech was and is inexcusable. In retrospect, he would tell you he should’ve left too. He literally did nothing after that except waste Dak In 2015, lose to a bad Kentucky, a bad BYU team, look for jobs, rehire Diaz, lose to South Alabama, wear shorts on the sideline, and get destroyed by any top 25 team not named ATM.

Those others are on Leach's level- Mediocre. And that's the point.
Leach has done better than those coaches in the SEC (Frost in BIG). You know that. He’s also done it with less resources than those coaches had/have. There are legitimate things to complain about with Leach, but don’t pretend he’s not better than a lot of coaches.
If you think Fisher is a better coach than Leach, you have lost it. My goodness.
No, the point was when they got the jobs they failed in, they where among the hottest coaches in the country, and that didn't mean ****, because they failed miserably at their new job.
They went to well known programs and failed. Like losing season failed. Like get the F outta here mid season failed.
And folks here hate Leach for a 7 or 8 win season losing only to teams who are or have been in the Top 10 this year.

They’ve been down prior to this year , tam no, ark they beat us last year, auburn has been nothing when Harasin was coach and we lucked out this year beating them. So no signature wins and again if where so “loaded” with talent why aren’t any of them playing.
