You have to give credit to Lemonis for one thing.

It has been obvious for a long time that baseball had been heading here. Fundamentals have been sub par from the beginning. We have had physically capable players who just don't seem to succeed as much as they should. Dakota Jordan should have had much better numbers for example. Pitchers from past teams are doing better in the pro level than they did here. You all know about my opinion on Hunter and Kellum Clark. They both should of had more success than they did.

You have no choice but to pull the trigger.

I give the players 100% credit for that. That group of players was like nothing I’ve ever seen at Mississippi State before or since.
I hear ya. Many won’t agree but you could almost credit Cohen, as he rebuilt it and was essentially the personnel GM the whole time he was here. And even in 2022, we still had the personnel but just got decimated by pitching injuries (that even happened to Cohen in 2015). In 2023, we really saw the fruit of Lemonis’ crootin without Cohen overseeing.

To me, it shows just how dysfunctional MSU is even in the face of a successful sport/program. From the idea that Ron Polk built SEC baseball but he himself never won us a title, but tore the program down and threw a fit, to the fact that the architects of our first title were COVID, a now Auburn AD, and a soon-to-be-fired head coach.

I mean holy shlt. Only MSU.
