You are in March and didnt even realize there was a baseball game last night. Usually we are watching the women and glad one of our historic flagship sports at this school (baseball) has started the season. However, with what our Mens and Womens teams are doing and with how disheartening the past weekend was in baseball, there isnt even discussion about the game on here.
I think I have finally realized the Kingston pattern. If his butt is on the line for keeping his job (like last year) they pull it out and do great and give hope. When he feels safe and people think the program is in a good spot (this preseason) the team just goes through the motions and we all quit caring by mid April if not before. I feel like that is where we are this year. The team is talented but there seems to be no real excitement or energy or real focus.
At least its one of the great basketball years though.

I stated similar in another thread - Kingston doesn't get me excited/motivated and apparently the team responds the same way to his coaching.

As sometimes obnoxious as Tennessee's baseball coach is, at least he brings energy to his team and program. Kingston has always seemed as dull and none emotional as they come. Yes, Paris is even keeled for basketball but at least he has personality. Kingston is kind of like a wet blanket in comparison to Beamer, Dawn, Paris, Annon and pretty much all the rest we have here at Carolina. I want to like him but he sure makes it hard because nothing about him is exciting. Just listen to his press conferences. I could deal with that like dealing with Belichik at New England if he at least won like Belichik did.
