Rome (Ga.) four-star linebacker Jaedon Harmon has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.

He is the nation’s No. 204 overall prospect, No. 23 linebacker and No. 29 recruit from Georgia in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Harmon is on campus in Tuscaloosa for the Tide’s spring game this weekend.

“What made Alabama right for me was I just felt it was the best place for me that is going to develop me into the best possible player and and person I can be,” Harmon told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “It’s a legendary program surrounded with great people and it is where the best of the best come to play and It was just to great of an opportunity to pass up.”

Alabama offered Harmon near the end of March, the same day the Tide landed four-star linebacker Abduall Sanders. Harmon is the fourth linebacker to commit to Alabama this cycle.

“I was thrilled about it because it’s Alabama, of course. It’s a legendary program,” Harmon told BOL about the offer last month. “They produce tons of great football players to the next level.”

The offer came during a visit to Tuscaloosa.

“It went great,” Harmon said. “I liked all the facilities and stuff, but I really liked the whole coaching staff showing love. I just enjoyed talking with them and Coach Wommack. Seeing his plan for me and how I’d fit his defense schematically. Just seeing all the stuff I could do, that was good.”

More on the staff, especially defensive coordinator Kane Wommack:

“I loved them,” Harmon said. “Coach Wommack seems like a great guy. Very down to earth. Love his personality. Coach DeBoer as well. Everybody was showing love. I talked with Coach [JaMarcus] Shephard, the receivers coach. Coach C-Rob, he’s a great guy. He recruits my area, so he’ll be coming down to see me.”

Alabama Class Breakdown

Alabama’s class consists of seven blue-chip prospects. Eastman (Ga.) Dodge County four-star athlete Darrell Johnson ranks No. 35 nationally and headlines the group after committing to the Tide on March 20.

“I feel like Bama is going to win right away,” Johnson told On3. “They’re not going to take a year off. I liked how they were being coached up and how they were learning the scheme. They have two linebackers leaving, so if I come in mid-year, I can learn the playbook and get in there fast.”

Alabama commits Selma (Ala.) Southside four-star athlete Derick Smith and Montgomery (Ala.) Carver four-star running back Anthony Rogers both rank inside the top 100.

Saraland (Ala.) four-star defensive lineman Antonio Coleman flipped from Alabama to Auburn in December before returning his allegiances to Tuscaloosa in early March. Denton (Md.) North Caroline four-star athlete Zymear Smith and Los Angeles Mater Dei four-star linebacker Abduall Sanders joined Johnson, Derick Smith and Coleman in a very busy March for Bama recruiting.
