5-star WR Caleb Cunningham commits to Alabama: 'Alabama has it all'
At different times in his recruitment, different schools have been on the top of his list. But the official visit to Alabama late in June gave him a feeling he hadn’t had yet. Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss have all been top schools for Caleb Cunningham, but when he left Tuscaloosa, there was a different feeling.
“I just knew it man,” Cunningham told On3. “It was really in the middle of the visit. It just felt different. I had been there before, and Alabama was always high on my list, but I knew that was where I wanted to be. That is why I committed to Alabama.”
The official visit made a big impact on Cunningham. The No. 15 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking had visited a handful of times before. It was Cunningham’s fourth official visit in as many weeks, but it was different.
“I just felt like I was hanging out with family. The visit was different for me. Being around the people, I just felt comfortable. It was an official visit, but it didn’t feel like an official visit. That feeling made an impact on me. The people made me feel at home and that pushed them to the top.”

The Crimson Tide beat out many top programs. The staff, their history, the people and the future all played a role in that decision.
“Alabama has it all,” Cunningham said. “You can’t go against Bama. They are the best. They have great coaches, they develop players, I feel at home there and I get to play with a great quarterback in Keelon Russell.
“I love coach Shep (JaMarcus Shephard) and how he coaches. He pushes his guys, his develops his guys and I know he can make me better. Alabama is going nowhere under coach Kaleb DeBoer. They are only going up. The new era at Alabama is going to be the same as it was under Nick Saban. They are going to get players and win championships.”
