Alabama has made an addition to its 2032 schedule. The Crimson Tide will face Minnesota as part of a home-and-home series, the program announced Tuesday.

Alabama will head to Minnesota Sept. 18, 2032 and the Golden Gophers will make their way to Tuscaloosa the next year — Sept. 17, 2033. It marks the 13th future home-and-home series Alabama has added to its schedule, according to the announcement.

Crimson Tide athletic director Greg Byrne announced via Twitter the game will take the place of the Oklahoma series, which was canceled because of the Sooners’ pending addition to the SEC.

Minnesota is 4-1 overall and 1-1 in Big Ten play this season. The Golden Gophers are competing in a wide-open Big Ten West division and have an opportunity to make more noise this week against fellow division foe Illinois.

Alabama, meanwhile, is in the midst of another strong campaign despite falling to No. 3 in the AP Top 25 this season. The Crimson Tide improved to 6-0 last week with a victory over Texas A&M and will try to build on that this week against Tennessee.

Nick Saban praises Tennessee ahead of tough Week 7 matchup

Week 7’s heavyweight clash features No. 3 Alabama traveling to Knoxville to battle red-hot No. 6 Tennessee. Ahead of Saturday’s blockbuster matchup, the Crimson Tide head coach raved about the Vols’ offense and discussed the challenge they might pose his defense this weekend.

“We’re gonna play a really good Tennessee team. This game means a lot to a lot of people in Alabama. It’s kind of a rivalry game, and it’s always been an important game for us,” Saban said Monday. “Tennessee’s got an outstanding team. They’re undefeated. Josh [Heupel] has done a really, really good job. They’re probably one of the most explosive offenses, if not the most explosive offense, in the country. … The quarterback, [Hendon] Hooker has really done a nice job of executing their offense.

“He’s one of the leading pass-efficiency guys in the country as well as has the ability to extend plays and make plays with his feet. He’s a very good athlete all the way around and has had an outstanding year.”
