Alabama announces new football documentary titled 'LANK'
Alabama football announced a new documentary is set to premier to kickoff August, titled Lank. A saying made famous by quarterback Jalen Milroe is now the basis of the film, it seems.
“Let all naysayers know” is the phrase and it seems to be the team’s mantra. In all instances of doubt, Alabama is here to remind folks who they are.
The trailer can be seen below.
Of course, former head coach Nick Saban will be featured in the film. His mantra was “rat poison,” which was essentially any good or bad press. He just wanted his players to focus on their jobs.
The goal remains the same for Alabama: go 1-0 each week and compete for national titles. Simple enough right?
That’s Milroe’s mindset, even under new head coach Kalen DeBoer, who took Washington within one game of winning a national title last season.
“I think for us as a team, it’s all about setting short term goals and long term goals,” Milroe said on Get Up. “To achieve those goals, we have to take care of right now and push each other to be the best us each and every day so that we have an opportunity to grow as a football team. So that whenever the time comes to go and attack a day as far as preparation for our opponent, it’s all about the preparation in the offseason that’s going to catapult us to get there.

“But what a great opportunity to have a 12 team playoff to push us to be victorious in a sense. So it’s a great opportunity for a lot of teams to compete and have another opportunity.”
The love and admiration for Saban at Alabama will never go away though, as Milroe detailed on Thursday’s First Take.
“For us as players we didn’t know when coach was gonna retire,” Milroe said. “We thought he was gonna coach for a long time. And with anything you got to look at, you know, of course as players, life after football, but also life after coaching football and what a great opportunity for him to still be around something that he loves, which is sports.
“Going into this new journey that he’s going on now, I’m super excited for him, because this is something awesome for him and us as players we just had to unite together.”
