Pittsboro (N.C.) Seaforth four-star power forward Jarin Stevenson has announced his commitment to Alabama. He will also reclassify from the 2024 class, up to 2023, and join the team for the upcoming season.

The 6-foot-8, 200-pound prospect chose the Crimson Tide over North Carolina and Virginia. He also received offers from NC State, Missouri, Georgetown, and others.

Stevenson spoke on Alabama in a previous interview with On3.

“Great coaching staff. Coach (Christian) Pino and coach (Nate) Oats are great people,” he said. “They definitely know their stuff and they run an NBA offense. They also have good defense over there so I like that about them a lot. Great school.”

Stevenson ranked as the No. 20 overall player in the On3 2024 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. With his move to the 2023 class, Stevenson now ranks No. 45 in On3’s player rankings.

Scouting Report

“Jarin Stevenson comes from a basketball family. His mother played at North Carolina, and his father was a 1,400-point scorer at Richmond before playing professionally overseas for ten-plus years. Stevenson is skilled on the offensive end; with solid size, he can push the break or shoot the three. He can fall in love with the three-point shot. He has a quick release and consistently has good balance, and is shot-ready off the catch. While he is still growing into his frame and athleticism, he has solid wiggle and excellent hand-eye coordination. He is a good athlete, better vertically than he is laterally, which will lead to questions about where he defends. There is good floor vision, and he is able to push the break off the rebound. Can be a good area rebounder when he locks in. Stevenson is a matchup problem, with his skill away from the basket. Prefers facing up. Would like to see him develop a little more alpha, and be ok taking over a game. His efficiency numbers have been high, consistently at the highest levels.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw

On3 NIL Valuation

Jarin Stevenson’s current On3 NIL Valuation is $210,000. This valuation currently ranks him No. 47 in the On3 high school basketball NIL Ranking.

The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets the standard market NIL value for high school and college-level athletes. A proprietary algorithm, the On3 NIL Valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a specific moment in time.

The On3 NIL Valuation is comprised of many dynamic data points that focus on three primary categories: social media, athletic performance, and endorsements and collectives.
