Four-star senior guard Kris Parker commits to Alabama
Kris Parker, a four-star shooting guard in the class of 2023, announced his commitment to Alabama on Instagram Live with On3’s Joe Tipton.
The 6-foot-6 senior out of Quincy (Fla.) Crossroad Academy ultimately chose the Crimson Tide over Villanova, Missouri, and UCF. He also received offers from NC State, Illinois, Florida State, DePaul, and others.
Parker is the fourth prospect to commit to Alabama in the 2023 class. He joins four-star forward Sam Walters (No. 69), four-star wing Mouhamed Dioubate (No. 90), and three-star guard R.J. Johnson (No. 193). Four-star guard Davin Cosby Jr. was also originally a part of the 2023 class, before joining the Tide this season and deciding to redshirt.
Parker on his commitment to Alabama
“I chose Alabama because I think Nate Oats really believes in me and he consistently recruited me even when a lot of other coaches gave up on me,” Parker said to On3.

Scouting Report
Kris Parker Scouting Report from On3’s Jamie Shaw:
“Kris Parker is a long and rangy wing. He has confidence on the ball in the half-court, and his ability as a shotmaker continues to rise. He will need to continue adding strength and overall sharpening his tools and shot selection. There is a lot of natural talent here, and the production has given him a consensus spot in the top 50. There is an upside still to go, and the intrigue lies with the fact he continues to get better a little better each time out.”
Parker ranks as the No. 87 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 16 shooting guard and the No. 8 senior recruit in Florida.
